Abstract: A fin system for surfboards, wind surfers or similar sporting equipment having an elongated channel extending lengthwise underneath the board. The fin is adjustable in the channel by the interaction of a resilient finger cut out of the fin base with a ribbed inner surface of the channel. The fin is totally removable from the channel, and when inserted, moves along the channel by pressure applied to the base of the fin. Releasing the pressure on the base causes the resilient finger to engage a notch in the ribbed surface and securely positions the fin at the desired point in the channel.
