  • Publication number: 20060098091
Abstract: A surveillance system for controlling a camera at a remote location through a monitor. Transmission and reception of an image signal and a power application between a camera and a monitor are accomplished through a single cable. A monitor, connected to the camera through the cable, applies power to the camera through the cable and transmits a camera control signal corresponding to a camera control command to the camera, to control a field of vision of a photographed image corresponding to the camera control signal. Accordingly, the camera is controllable at a location remote from the monitor and the surveillance effect is elevated.

  • Patent number: 5956094
Abstract: A device for displaying image signals received from a plurality of monitoring cameras are displayed on sub-screens, and a method therefor. First, a sub-screen displaying mode is set, and the number of sub-screens to be divided is input. When the number of channels of input image signals is greater than that of sub-screens, the numbers of channels to be displayed in a continuous mode and the locations of sub-screens to be operated in switching mode are input. The channels of the continuous mode are displayed continuously on corresponding sub-screens, and other channels alternately displayed on the rest sub-screens.

  • Patent number: 5671009
Abstract: A closed circuit television (CCTV) system with an improved detection function and a detecting method wherein, a number of camera signals, generated by multiple monitoring cameras, are recorded on a single recording medium such as a magnetic tape, corresponding ID codes are generated in accordance with predetermined physical event and time-of-day conditions. Such physical conditions include events such as video loss, fire alarms, break-ins, and so forth. The ID codes are recorded during vertical blanking periods of the camera signals, and are detected during reproduction of previously recorded video signals. The ID codes detected are compared with a user-designated value indicative of a physical event and time-of-day condition to be detected, so that an ensuing comparison match facilitates non-sequential reproduction of the camera signals corresponding to the ID codes and effectively reduces the amount of time to detect an event recorded on a recording medium, and increases detection efficiency.
