  • Patent number: 5458938
Abstract: A mounting laminate can be used as a mounting sheet on which undersize items can be mounted for processing in devices equipped with stacked sheet feed mechanisms. The mounting laminate has three primary layers: (a) a masking layer, preferably paper, formed with discrete openings, preferably circles, (b) a back layer, preferably a thin plastic film, and (c) a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adhering the masking layer to the back layer and extending across each of the openings.

  • Patent number: 5385230
Abstract: An adjustable tray assembly adaptable for use in desk drawers having side walls spaced at various distances. The tray assembly includes a first portion having a plurality of open top receptacles and a support lip projecting away from one side, and a second portion also with a projecting support lip and mounted on the first portion to affording relative movement between the portions to change the spacing between the first and second support lips so that they can be supported on the upper edge surfaces of the side walls of the drawers of different widths with the first and second portions bridging therebetween. The tray assembly can also include dispensers for office supplies including note paper, tape flags and tape; the tape dispenser being of a novel low profile design.

  • Patent number: 5013200
Abstract: A binding system including a method for binding sheets in which a stack of the sheets is shingled to disclose narrow side surface portions along their spine edges, a uniform layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is adhered to those spine edges and narrow side surface portion after which the spine edges are moved into alignment at a right angle to the side surfaces of the sheets to re-form the pressure sensitive adhesive along the spines of the sheets, and a flexible backing is adhered over the re-formed adhesive along the spine edges and at the side surfaces of the sheets to retain the spine edges of the sheets in that alignment. The system also includes a novel cover structure which facilitates the method and includes cover plates, the pressure sensitive adhesive and the backing; and a novel device for holding and positioning the sheets during binding.

  • Patent number: 4518296
Abstract: A binding machine for binding a stack of sheets together by the use of a strip of tape has a slot for receiving and aligning sheets, the sheets are then clamped along one edge and a flexible sheet is used to roll and hold said sheets in an arc over the clamping means to offset said edges evenly and hold the same on a platen for positioning a length of pressure-sensitive tape along said edges for binding said sheets together.

  • Patent number: 4231837
Abstract: The dispenser is adapted for dispensing individual sheets of notepaper with a length of tape adhered to the sheets to permit the same to be readily tacked conspicuously to a desired surface. The dispenser supports the stack of notepapers and a roll of pressure-sensitive adhesvie tape. The tape is directed from the roll beneath a support member carrying a severing blade on its forward end which support member is positioned above one end of the stack of notepaper. The support member is movable toward and away from the upper sheet to tack the free end of the tape to the end of the upper sheet of the stack of notepapers.

  • Patent number: 3930927
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for dispensing discrete lengths of a double-coated adhesive tape onto a substrate. The device has a housing with one open side. An applicating drum with a plurality of flat applicating surfaces disposed about its circumference is rotatably mounted inside the housing near one end. A roll of double-coated adhesive tape is supported in the housing, the tape being pulled off the supply roll as the drum rotates. A base is attached to the housing extending along the open side of said housing and has an opening through which an applicating surface can pass. Means rotate the applicating drum upon movement of the housing toward and away from the base to bring an applicating surface bearing double-coated tape into an applicating position where the cutting means sever a short length of the double-coated tape and transfers the tape to a substrate.
