  • Patent number: 11903747
Abstract: A breathable package that allows a device or object disposed in the package to be sterilized, and maintains the sterile condition until the package is opened at the point of use. The package also provides a visual indication that the package seal integrity has not been compromised or that the package has been compromised or breached. The package includes a first material, such as a film, and a second non-woven material, such as non-woven high density polyethylene, that form opposing sides of the package.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 24, 2022
Date of Patent: February 20, 2024
    Assignee: Paxxus, Inc.

  • Patent number: 11060945
Abstract: A sealing element that visually indicates when a sealing element has been opened or corrupted without destruction of the seal. Ultraviolet light passes through a scattering layer and is absorbed by a fluorescing layer, the fluorescing layer reemitting the light in the visual spectrum and thereby allowing a user to inspect the integrity of the sealing element without otherwise destroying the seal.

  • Patent number: 9626882
Abstract: A sealing element that utilizes cohesive peeling to visually indicate when a sealing element has been opened. The peel layer and bulk layer can be coupled together and contain coloring agents which are complementary colors that together make up a secondary color. Alternatively, the peel layer can be coupled to a first bulk layer and the first bulk layer coupled to a second bulk layer. The colors of the coloring agents applied to the peel layer and first bulk layer together do not make up a secondary color, and the colors of the coloring agents of the second bulk layer and the first bulk layer together do not make up a secondary color.
