  • Patent number: 8840573
Abstract: An apparatus for the prevention of decubitus ulcers includes an overlay and a plurality of stimulation segments disposed throughout the overlay, wherein the stimulation segments provide stimulation. At least one sensor is disposed within at least one of the plurality of stimulation segments. A controller is electrically connected to the at least one sensor, wherein the controller gathers data from the sensor, processes the data, and transmits instructions to the stimulation segments.

  • Publication number: 20060111092
Abstract: An alert management system (AMS) can initiate, process, and monitor an alert cycle. The AMS can initiate a predefined alert based on an initiation command or based on a comparison of data to predefined alert initiation rules. The AMS can select individuals to contact and/or plans for contacting each individual based on the context of the alert. The AMS allows individuals to request notification for certain alerts and/or for specific transitions within a cycle of the alert. When a user is notified, they can provide feedback confirming receipt of the notification and/or request initiation one or more additional predefined alerts. Users can also provide a backup contact person that the AMS should contact if the user cannot be reached. The AMS provides users with progress information, which can include an indication of who has received notification of the alert in progress.

  • Patent number: 6077148
Abstract: A method of lapping a spherical head comprises the steps of: rotatably mounting a plurality of lapping fixtures having generally semi-spherical cavities, securing polishing liners in the generally semi-spherical cavities, applying a wetting agent and diamond suspensions, varying from a relatively coarse grit to a relatively fine grit, to the polishing liners disposed in the lapping fixtures, manipulating the robotic arm to sequentially bring a spherical head into engagement with the polishing liners disposed in the lapping fixtures while the lapping fixtures are spinning about their respective rotational axes and to vary the angle between the longitudinal axis of the spherical head and the rotational axes of the lapping fixtures and rinsing the diamond suspensions from the spherical head.
