  • Publication number: 20230329559
Abstract: A transcranial magnetic resonance (MR)-guided histotripsy (tcMRgHt) system is provided. Using electronic steering only, the tcMRgHt system is configured to create lesions of 25.5 mm in the transverse plane and 50 mm in the axial plane through the skull of a patient. This disclosure provides the design, fabrication, acoustic characterization, and MR compatibility assessment of tcMRgHt systems for histotripsy.

  • Publication number: 20080280704
Abstract: A training aid for improving a player's skill in shooting a basketball. The training aid includes a substantially planar surface and foot positioning indicia viewable on the planar surface. The foot positioning indicia include a lead foot indicia and a plurality of trailing foot indicia. Each of the trailing foot indicia define a separate foot placement position for the player's trailing foot wherein the training aid is usable by players having different sizes by selecting one of the plurality trailing foot indicia appropriate for the size of the player and using the lead foot indicia and the selected one of the trailing foot indicia to define suitable lead and trailing foot positions for the player when shooting the basketball. The planar surface may take the form of the upper surface of a floor mat repositionable on the court and having alignment indicia for properly positioning the mat.

  • Patent number: 5227982
Abstract: Apparatus and method, having both structural and acoustical applicability, for measuring damping of a solid or fluid resonant physical system in terms of reverberation or decay time, featuring a digital computer-based measurement system in which plural numbers of resonances are grouped into single analysis bands. The resonant response is converted into an electronic signal, which is then pre-amplified, filtered, post-amplified, digitized and finally processed so as to determine the reverberation time in the resonant physical system.
