  • Patent number: 8006443
Abstract: An interlocking, modular floor tile that comprises a planar member defined by a perimeter having four sides and a top surface, a plurality of downwardly projecting support legs of common length dispersed pattern-wise inside the perimeter of the planar member and coupled with the top surface, and at least one female interlocking connector element that extends outside the perimeter of the planar member for receiving a support leg of a like tile and thereby forming an interlock with the like tile.

  • Patent number: 7322052
Abstract: The invention provides for a dispensing apparatus removably mounted to a toilet for dispensing a fluid into the toilet to control bathroom odor. The apparatus includes a housing having an open end and a bottom defining a cavity for receiving the fluid. The housing further defines an outlet for communicating the fluid to the toilet. A pump is mounted about the open end of the housing and defines a chamber above the cavity. The chamber is in fluid communication with the cavity and includes a plunger movable within the chamber between actuated and unactuated strokes. The plunger includes at least one aperture in fluid communication with the chamber. The aperture is blocked during the actuated stroke of the plunger for displacing the fluid. The aperture is open during the unactuated stroke of the plunger to equalize pressure within the chamber and the cavity with atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 5516217
Abstract: An improved print ribbon cartridge, having a plurality of paper guide means therein capable of preventing the fouling of paper at the time of printing, for use with a typewriter or printer having a platen, a carrier movable along the platen which supports the cartridge, a print head supported on the carrier for operating in conjunction with the print ribbon in the cartridge to cause printing on a document.

  • Patent number: 4553869
Abstract: A mechanical torque transmitting apparatus such as a one-way clutch which includes two distinct sets of flexural arms (primary and auxiliary) and a cylindrical engagement surface. The primary flexural arm is adapted to be in edgewise continuous engagement with the cylindrical surface. Preferably, the primary flexural arm has a long, straight, narrow cross-section area and applies a relatively low force against the cylindrical surface when said surface is rotating in a free-wheeling direction. In the non free-wheeling direction, the force against the cylindrical surface increases until the rotational forces overcome and buckle the primary flexural arm whereupon the auxiliary flexural arm is brought into contact with the cylindrical surface to resist further rotation.

  • Patent number: 4401393
Abstract: An improved, disposable inexpensive feed mechanism is uniquely incorporated in a cassette having a flexible or movable wall driven by contact with a moving printer carriage or the like. Friction facing of the moving wall cooperates with a fixed friction facing on an interiorly placed portion of a cassette wall with a ribbon between the two friction faces. The friction facing of the movable part has angled fiber elements that engage the ribbon in one direction but slip easily over the ribbon in the opposite direction. The moving printer carriage or the like contacts a movable portion of the cassette wall in each pass and indexes the ribbon slightly to provide a fresh supply across a platen. The platen may be integrally molded as a part of the cassette and can be made of plastic. The entire mechanism is disposable, is contained in a single clean package and is very low cost. No rollers, feed roll drives or motors are required.

  • Patent number: 4354085
Abstract: Improved apparatus is provided for spreading the seam edges of formed large diameter pipe so that it can be mounted more quickly onto the arbor of a welder. The conventional spreader apparatus comprised of a fixed straight arm with rollers on opposite ends has at least one cylinder axially substituted for at least part of its length so that the rollers are retractable. The cylinder is mounted in a bracket and freely slidable back and forth axially so as to be self-centering thus preventing displacement of the seam from proper alignment with the arbor as it is spread preparatory to movement thereon. Preferably, a pair of cylinders are provided attached in back to back relation with a roller connected to each piston rod thereof.
