Abstract: A retention clip to secure a windscreen wiper rubber and an associated backing strip to a windscreen wiper blade superstructure comprises spaced, substantially parallel first and second parts integral with an interconnecting third part. The first part has a pair of spaced, co-planar prongs with a recess formed in the outer-most side edge of each prong, the recess being of a shape and dimension to releasably engage a cooperating part of the superstructure. The integral second part has a tongue which engages in one end of a longitudinal slot in the backing strip in which is engaged a head portion of the wiper rubber. The tongue has a downwardly turned end portion to deform the wiper rubber and wedge the tongue, rubber and backing strip together.

Abstract: A coupling element to releasably secure a windscreen wiper blade to a wiper arm which has a coupling pin extending transversely therefrom comprises a body to engage between side walls of the wiper blade with pivot lugs on the body seating in pivot seats in the side walls to enable the body to pivot thereabout. The body is formed with a transverse passageway which aligns with apertures in the side walls and through which the coupling pin engages when the body is in a first position. The passageway is formed so that the body is pivotable from the first position to a second position whereat a latching element on the coupling pin engages with the body to prevent lateral withdrawal of the pin from the body.

Abstract: An improved wiper arm and connector head arrangement which may be readily assembled without use of special equipment by means of inserting opposed bosses on the head into corresponding open-sided recesses on the arm and then relatively rotating the head and the arm, to a position locating a tongue member on the head into a groove in the arm whereby the bosses can no longer be extracted through the open side of the recesses and therefore the head is attached to the arm.
