  • Patent number: 11949189
Abstract: A circuit board assembly includes a circuit board and an electrical connector having a connector housing holding contacts in a contact array. The connector housing has a mating end configured to be mated with a mating electrical connector in a mating direction. The electrical connector has cables terminated to the contacts and extending from a cable end. A connector mount is used to locate the electrical connector relative to the circuit board. A bracket is coupled to the mounting surface of the circuit board. A biasing member is coupled to the bracket and the mounting feature and is compressible along a compression axis parallel to the mating direction to allow the electrical connector to float in the mating direction relative to the circuit board.

Abstract: A fluorescent colored image can be detected in an image on an article. This fluorescent colored image is obtained from applying an aqueous colored pigment-based ink that is capable of fluorescence, onto a suitable non-UV fluorescent substrate. This aqueous colored pigment-based ink has 1-7 weight % of a pigment colorant; and 0.1-2 weight % of a non-polymeric fluorophore that when excited by fluorescence-exciting radiation having a peak of at least 200 nm and up to and including 400 nm, exhibits an emission peak of at least 400 nm and up to and including 750 nm. This aqueous colored pigment-based ink that is capable of fluorescence can be applied using inkjet printing, onto non-UV fluorescent substrates to provide images that can be detected when excited as noted above, which images can be provided on articles such as security documents, currency, and lottery tickets.

  • Publication number: 20240103595
Abstract: High-speed data communication devices, e.g., repeaters, interfacing between a host and a peripheral operate such that high-speed components except for a host-side squelch detector are set or maintained in a deactivated state during an idle period of a micro frame. In an example, a start of a micro frame is detected on a data bus during a first time period. In a second time period after the first time period, the high-speed communication device determines whether at least one data packet is contained in the micro frame. When it is determined during the second time period that no data packet is contained in the micro frame, active components, except a squelch detector, are controlled to be inactive during a third time period after the second time period.

  • Patent number: 11941650
Abstract: Systems and methods for model evaluation. A protected class model that satisfies an accuracy threshold is built by using: data sets for use by a modeling system being evaluated, and protected class membership information for each data set. A target for the protected class model is a protected class membership variable indicating membership in a protected class. Each predictor of the protected class model is a predictor of an evaluated model used by the modeling system. A target of the evaluated model is different from the target of the protected class model. Each predictor is a set of one or more variables of the data sets. For each predictor of the protected class model, a protected class model impact ranking value and a modeling system impact ranking value are determined.

  • Publication number: 20240073261
Abstract: A method for establishing at least three-way conversation between a primary party, secondary parties, and one or more brand agents within an SDN is provided. The method includes initiating a two-way communication channel between a first communication endpoint associated with the primary party and a second communication endpoint assigned to the one or more brand agents. The method then proceeds with receiving a selection of one or more secondary parties from a database. The method includes synthesizing a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for a secondary party of the one or more secondary parties to join the two-way communication channel and providing the URL to a third communication endpoint associated with the secondary party. The method includes initiating, upon detecting that the secondary party clicked the URL, the at least three-way conversation between the primary party, the secondary party, and the one or more brand agents via the two-way communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20240069924
Abstract: A system is provided for automatically generating electronic artifacts using extended functionality. In particular, the system may use a template-based process to automatically generate artifacts based on a defined set of parameters and/or variables. The system may further use one or more plugins which may provide extended functionality with respect to the artifact generation process. Accordingly, the artifact generation process may include initializing a parameter list based on application parameters and/or plugin parameters, processing the parameters, generating variables based on the parameters, and replacing variables in scheme template files with appropriate values (e.g., user supplied or plugin generated values) to output an artifact file to a predetermined location. In this way, the system provides a robust and efficient way to automatically generate artifacts.

  • Publication number: 20240073662
Abstract: In a handheld communication device capable of a plurality of wireless communication modes, a method of communication begins by receiving, at the handheld communication device, a notification of an available one of the wireless communication modes. Then, in a data communication window of the communication device, a user-indication of an active one of the available wireless communication modes is provided in accordance with the received communication mode indication. The data communication window is configured to facilitate data communication via the plurality of wireless communication modes, and facilitates the data communication via the active wireless communication mode.

  • Publication number: 20240070487
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and processing modeling workflows are disclosed. In some examples, a reference distribution of scores generated by a model is determined. The reference distribution of scores is recorded in a structured database. One or more unexpected scores are detected during execution of the model. To detect the one or more unexpected scores, a production distribution of scores is compared with the reference distribution of scores recorded in the structured database. The production distribution of scores is generated by the model for a production input data set. An alert is then provided to an external system, when an alert condition is determined to be satisfied based on the comparison. The alert indicates detection of the one or more unexpected scores.

  • Patent number: 11885289
Abstract: An example component of a machine includes a core layer and an outer layer encasing the core layer. The outer layer has a greater carbon concentration and hardness than the core layer. The outer layer may also be compressively stressed, while the core layer may have tensile stress. The stress and/or hardness profile of the component may enhance its resistance to cracking, particularly in applications where the component is impacted by other object and/or operates at elevated temperatures. The component, such as parts of a fuel injector, may be formed by rough forming the component, carburizing the component, quenching the component, subzero processing the component, and then performing a tempering process. The components may have relatively sharp transition from the high carbon outer layer to the lower carbon core layer. Additionally, the components have a relatively high tempering resistance when used in relatively high temperature environments.

  • Patent number: 11814016
Abstract: There is disclosed a valve assembly for washing cameras or sensors of an autonomous vehicle. The valve assembly includes a single fluid injector having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a fluid passage in fluid communication with the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. A cup is disposed over an upstream portion of the fluid injector, relative to a direction of fluid flow through the fluid injector. A lower housing is disposed over and surrounds a downstream portion of the fluid injector, relative to the direction of fluid flow therethrough. A bracket member extends from the lower housing. The bracket member is configured for connecting to an anchor member for attachment within the autonomous vehicle. In this way, the valve assembly may be easily secured within a vehicle for providing a desired amount of fluid to the lens of the vehicle camera or sensor.

  • Patent number: 11807731
Abstract: A foamed, opacifying element useful as a light-blocking article is prepared with a dry opacifying layer on a substrate. The dry opacifying layer is densified, followed by application of a functional composition formulation to form a functional composition upon drying and curing at a coverage of 0.5-15 g/m2. The functional composition comprises at least: (i) glass particles such as hollow glass particles at a coverage of 0.1-2.2 g/cm2, and can also include any or combination of a (iv) water-soluble or water-dispersible organic polymeric binder that may be crosslinked, thickeners, coating aids having an HLB of at least 5, (ii) lubricants, (iii) tinting materials, and (v) crosslinking agents. Among other properties, the presence of the glass particles provides additional heat absorption for the foamed, opacifying elements that can be formed into light-blocking materials.
