  • Patent number: 11918748
Abstract: A respiratory assistance apparatus has a gases inlet configured to receive a supply of gases, a blower unit configured to generate a pressurised gases stream from the supply of gases; a humidification unit configured to heat and humidify the pressurised gases stream; and a gases outlet for the heated and humidified gases stream. A flow path for the gases stream extends through the respiratory device from the gases inlet through the blower unit and humidification unit to the gases outlet. A sensor assembly is provided in the flow path before the humidification unit. The sensor assembly has an ultrasound gas composition sensor system for sensing one or more gas concentrations within the gases stream.

  • Patent number: 8759416
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process comprising adding a sufficient amount of a halamine with a latex binder to achieve microbial prophylaxis, wherein the halamine is characterized by the following formula: wherein X1 is H, Br, or Cl; X2 is Br or Cl; and R1 is H or a C1-30 alkyl group or mixtures thereof. The present invention also relates to a composition comprising the halamine and a latex binder. The present invention provides a quick kill shelf stable preservative for latex binders and for formulations that use such binders.

  • Publication number: 20030149554
Abstract: Versions of the invention are directed to computer-based methods, apparatus and software (programs) for fast, dynamic programming and recursive partitioning techniques to segment data, especially real-world data, into data structures for display as nodal trees. These techniques and displayed data in segmented form have numerous applications, especially for the analysis and understanding of real-world data. Some particular applications are in the area of computational high throughput screening of molecular drug (or pharmaceutical) candidates using a quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) approach. Another particular application is in the areas of pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics.
