  • Publication number: 20240035961
Abstract: A system and method indicate capability for detecting methane leaks inside buildings. This approach provides the ability to detect methane behind high efficiency coated windows and can extract methane concentration (rather than concentration-path length product CL). Lock-in imaging technologies can facilitate lower laser transmitter power. A field deployable, hand held prototype sensor for use in remote sensing a appropriate standoff distances can support operational testing. Distance infrared imaging of methane is feasible. Fully characterized real time image of a methane cloud offers operational advantages in accuracy and safety as compared to current sensors.

  • Patent number: 10656102
Abstract: A method for evaluating system performance can include comparing a test average of instances of variables of test system variables to a baseline average of a baseline variables. Each of the instances of the variable of the test system variables may be shifted by a shift amount for a subset of the variables. A modified test data set may be generated from the shifted test data set. The modified test data set may be transformed with a sparse principal component analysis into test components. The test components may be compared to baseline components using a Hotelling T2 as a test statistic. Performance of the system may be quantified based upon the test statistic.

  • Patent number: 8505781
Abstract: A dispensing pump including a pump mechanism and a pump bead is provided. The dispensing pump head includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The lower portion has a structure for attaching the dispensing pump to the container. The upper portion and the lower portion each has: (1) an internal area combining to form an enclosed space for containing a second product, and (2) a respective peripheral wall. The pump mechanism also includes a dispensing channel for the first product that extends between the upper and the lower portion. There is an aperture in either peripheral walls or a space between the respective peripheral walls. Upon the actuation of the dispensing pump, the upper portion passes into the lower portion to force air from the enclosed space and the second product is emitted through one of the apertures in either peripheral walls or the space therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20100264169
Abstract: The container has a fragrance emitting dispensing pump. The dispensing pump has a pump mechanism and pump head on one end of the pump mechanism. The dispensing pump head is comprised of an upper portion and a lower portion. The fragrance substance is within an internal area in the upper portion, the lower portion or both portions of the dispensing pump head. The lower portion has a structure for attaching the dispensing pump to the container. The upper portion of the dispensing pump head has a dispensing channel through the internal area that on one end extends into the lower portion of the pump head to the pump mechanism and at a second end is open to the exterior atmosphere. The internal area contains a fragrance substance. A peripheral wall of the upper portion and a peripheral wall of the lower portion have a space, and optionally at least one aperture that is in communication with the exterior of the dispensing pump. In addition the lower portion can have more than one fragrance containing space.

  • Publication number: 20050094392
Abstract: A light barrier and/or light reflector for PCB-mounted LED's has reflective walls defining interior chambers which redirect the light from the LED's in a substantially orthogonal direction and shield each LED from the light emitted by adjacent LED's. The device is particularly suited for redirecting light from LED's on a PCB to a status indicator panel thereby replacing conventional light pipes.
