  • Patent number: 10949923
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable media for receiving data from one or more sensors associated with one or more home devices, such as appliances, home systems, etc. are presented. The data may be used to determine whether operation of the home device is within an acceptable range. If not, the user associated with the home device may receive an alert identifying a potential issue. One or more potential modifications to improve the home device may be identified and transmitted to the user. In some examples, an insurance incentive to implement the recommended modifications may also be transmitted to the user.

  • Patent number: 10390958
Abstract: An intervertebral disc implant device (10) is arranged to be positioned with respect to at least one disc space that is respectively located between at least two adjacent vertebrae (e.g. C4 & C5). The device comprises a connector (12) that extends between and interconnects the at least two adjacent vertebrae. The device also comprises at least one pad (18) that is integrally formed with and from the same material as the connector to extend laterally therefrom. The at least one pad is configured for location with respect to a respective disc space between the at least two adjacent vertebrae. The material for the pad is continuous from side-to-side, from front-to-back and from a pad top surface to a pad bottom surface. A surgical procedure for deploying the device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070238747
Abstract: The present invention features rifamycin analogs that can be used as therapeutics for treating or preventing a variety of microbial infections. In one form, the analogs are acetylated at the 25-position, as is rifamycin. In another form, the analogs are deacetylated at the 25-position. In yet other forms, benzoxazinorifamycin, benzthiazinorifamycin, and benzdiazinorifamycin analogs are derivatized at various positions of the benzene ring, including 3?-hydroxy analogs, and/or various fused ring systems with the benzene ring at the 4?,5? or 5?,6? positions.
