  • Publication number: 20240109378
Abstract: A modular tire pressure leak detection system includes a tire that supports a vehicle and a sensor unit mounted on the tire. The sensor unit detects real-time tire parameters inside the tire and transmits the parameters to a processor. A plurality of modules are in electronic communication with the processor. The plurality of modules include a pre-processing module that receives the parameters and applies a set of operations to generate pressure time series data, a leak detection module that receives the pressure time series data and determines a leak rate of the tire, and a post-processing module that receives the leak rate of the tire and analyzes the leak rate of the tire with determinations from a plurality of conditions. A leak alert is issued by the post-processing module based upon the analysis of the leak rate of the tire and the determinations from the plurality of conditions.

  • Patent number: 11707431
Abstract: In certain embodiments a dental strip for the prevention or reduction of dental caries is provided. In certain embodiments the dental strip is constructed to deliver effective amounts of specifically targeted antimicrobial peptides (or simple antimicrobial peptides) and comprises an orally compatible backing layer, a delivery layer disposed on one surface of the backing layer where the delivery layer comprises an orally compatible polymer, or combination of polymers, and a specifically targeted antimicrobial peptide (and/or simple antimicrobial peptide) capable of binding and killing Streptococcus mutans. In certain embodiments the dental strip additionally comprises a release liner.

  • Patent number: 6184787
Abstract: Overhead garage door position monitoring systems including one or more smoke detector sensors, carbon monoxide sensors, thermal sensors and/or magnetic sensors to measure the smoke concentration level, the carbon monoxide level, the temperature and the position of an overhead garage door, respectively. These sensors are controlled by and report the status of parameters to a controller, such as a microcontroller. This controller is programmed to report the status of parameters through, for example, a liquid crystal display (LCD) and/or a voice synthesizer and an audio speaker.

  • Patent number: 6087660
Abstract: A night vision device (NVD) includes a control circuit having an acceleration-responsive switch. When the NVD is in a generally horizontal use position, the acceleration-responsive switch enables a circuit allowing voltage to be applied to an image intensifier tube of the night vision device, so that night vision is provided. On the other hand, when the device is flipped up to a stowed position allowing the user of the device unobstructed natural vision, the acceleration-responsive switch senses the changed orientation of the gravitational acceleration vector, and turns off the image intensifier tube as well as other light-emitting sources of the night vision device.
