  • Patent number: 11931613
Abstract: A fire suppression nozzle can include a first fluid channel configured to be in fluid communication with a first fluid having a first flow velocity and a second fluid channel configured to be in fluid communication with a second fluid having a second flow velocity. A mixer can be disposed between the first fluid channel and the second fluid channel such that the mixer is configured to induce streamwise vorticity in at least the first fluid exiting first fluid channel to cause mixing of the first fluid and the second fluid to reduce a flow speed of a mixture of the first fluid and the second fluid.

  • Patent number: 11922546
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to generate and display trends associated with a process control system are disclosed. An example apparatus includes memory, machine readable instructions, and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to generate a first graphical user interface. The first graphical user interface to include a graphical representation of a component in a process control system. The processor circuitry to generate a second graphical user interface. The second graphical user interface to include a chart region with a trend represented therein. The trend indicative of values of a process parameter of the process control system over a period of time. The processor circuitry to automatically generate the trend in the chart region in response to a graphical element being dragged and dropped from the first graphical user interface to the second graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 6531430
Abstract: An internal or an external combustion engine which has at least one surface coated with a lubricant made up of vegetable-based products. The products preferably include a base oil containing primarily mono, di and triglycerides and free fatty acids, 5-30% by volume hydroxy fatty acids and 5-10% of the oil additives by volume of animal or vegetable waxes.

  • Patent number: 5888947
Abstract: The vegetable oil based lubricant of the present invention is derived primarily from plants, a renewable resource. It is readily biodegradable via .alpha.- and .beta.-oxidation utilizing microbes naturally present in the environment and is non-toxic to flora and fauna. The vegetable based lubricant of the invention includes a mono-, di- and trigycerol base oil making up the majority of the composition, a vegetable oil additive containing hydroxy fatty acids and a liquid vegetable wax. Additional antioxidants derived from natural vegetable or petroleum sources may be used. The base oil is primarily derived from the families Cruciferae, Leguminosae or Compositae. The vegetable oil additive is principally derived from castor or lesquerella and the vegetable wax from jojoba or meadowfoam. The invention is suitable for use in internal combustion engines and in total loss applications. The invention is designed as a total composition for its applications and is not an additive to petroleum lubricants.

  • Patent number: 5304718
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the use of a Apelawa variety of quinoa in the production of cytoplasmic male sterile quinoa plants and seeds useful in breeding programs for high-yield quinoa hybrids. More particularly, the present invention is directed to the use of cytoplasmic male sterile plants of the Apelawa variety of quinoa to produce plants and seeds for lines of quinoa varieties having male sterile cytoplasm; to cytoplasmic male sterile quinoa plants; quinoa seeds for cytoplasmic male sterile plants; and methods of producing cytoplasmic male sterile quinoa plants and seeds to create a source of cytoplasmic male sterile quinoa plants. A quinoa seed having male sterile cytoplasm and assigned ATCC accession no. 75154 is specifically disclosed.
