One specific embodiment includes features which allow the hands-free suction device to be attached to a dental lip/cheek retractor, and/or to the patient's lip, in a manner that is both comfortable for the patient and allows convenient, unobscured access to the patient's oral cavity. One potential benefit of the device is the collection and removal of dangerous aerosols generated during dental procedures which may be responsible for spreading disease.
