  • Patent number: 9762056
Abstract: An electrical unit outlet device is disclosed for controlling power isolation, based on a pre-determined time, for a device charger, while remaining plugged into a power outlet. A power isolating circuit cuts any power to the charging device off when charge is complete. Multiple embodiments are disclosed including a ground fault interrupted electrical unit outlet that may be controlled by a timer to shut down after batteries have been charged is disclosed and claimed herein. All circuits will subject to ground fault interruption protection and may be subject to surge protection as well. In another embodiment, a lamp with timed charging outlets that shut down when batteries are being charged is disclosed and claimed herein.

  • Patent number: 8963731
Abstract: An electrical unit outlet device is disclosed for controlling power isolation, based on a predetermined time, for a device charger, while remaining plugged into a power outlet. An electrical outlet unit circuit cuts any power to the charging device off when charge is complete. An electrical device to limit the electrical power consumed by battery chargers, that are used to recharge the batteries of devices is described which includes: (1) a means to initiate a charging cycle; (2) surge protection circuit to protect both the battery charger and the device being recharged; and (3) an automatic control circuit to terminate a charging cycle. Secondly for the device to maintain the battery at full charge for extended periods of time while limiting power consumption, which includes: (1) a means to repeatedly initiate an abbreviated charging cycle and (2) a means to control the amount of time between the abbreviated charging cycles.

  • Patent number: 6166629
Abstract: A multi-function, composite apparatus for mounting on a drag racing vehicle is described which includes: (i) a terminal panel having leads coupled to various vehicle control components of the vehicle to affect operation of the vehicle; (ii) a display means to depict a plurality of different racing indicia selectable by a user wherein at least one of said indicia relates to vehicle performance during racing such as delay box timers, throttle stop controllers, cross over delay timers, etc. and a second indicia relating to a non-racing function such as driver reaction time tester or race playback function; and (iii) a keypad having a plurality of user-operable keys including function keys to control what indicia is shown on the display means and data input keys to modify the data in the apparatus. All required outputs can be shown on a single visual display means.

  • Patent number: 5600185
Abstract: A device for controlling the release of a drag racer which is adapted for use in elapsed time starts as well as standard starts. The race crew inputs the opponent's established elapsed time and their own established elapsed time into the invention, as well as the standard timing-light/reaction-time delay. The device then calculates the handicap by which a faster car will be held and adds that time to the timing-light/reaction-time delay. This permits the driver to begin release timing from his opponent's Christmas tree lights. The driver may use his own Christmas tree if he wishes by setting the ET timers to zero, to equal values, or by setting the opponent's ET lower than his own.
