Patent number: 6981330Abstract: The present multi-axis installable and adjustable level is permanently installed to a suitable panel on or in a movable structure, such as a recreational vehicle or the like, or a portable work table or the like. The present level enables a user of the structure to level the structure precisely as required, and/or to determine the level of the structure, once the present level has been properly installed. The present level comprises a pair of leaves or panels which are hinged together, with one of the leaves providing coarsely adjustable permanent attachment to the structure and the opposite leaf including a bull's eye type level thereon. The first leaf is secured to a suitable panel (which may be sloped, horizontal, or vertical) of the structure, and the second leaf is extended and locked in a substantially horizontal orientation. The bubble level is then leveled precisely using the infinitesimal adjustment provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2004Date of Patent: January 3, 2006Inventor: Dwayne A. Tieszen

Publication number: 20050180830Abstract: The āZā-axis measurement tool is an adapter having a mounted depth gage for precise measurement of the vertical displacement of the cutting edge of a vertical milling machine. The tool has a first magnetically mountable bracket slidably attached to a stationary portion of a vertical milling machine, and a second bracket removably mounted to the quill stop of the milling machine. A depth gage mounted to the first bracket has an upward extending spindle which cooperatively engages a flat surface on the second bracket when the quill stop descends as the quill is lowered to engage a workpiece with a cutter.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2004Publication date: August 18, 2005Inventor: Dwayne Tieszen

Publication number: 20050127833Abstract: A white light LED having high color rendering indices and a correlated color temperature similar to that of an incandescent lamp. The LED has a semiconductor body formed of a semiconductor layer sequence capable of emitting electromagnetic radiation in a blue spectral range, the radiation exciting a yellow phosphor resulting in an intermediate blue-yellow light output whose chromaticity coordinates are transformed by a casting compound encompassing the semiconductor body and phosphor. A colored tint blended with epoxy resin forms the casting compound and filters the blue-yellow output, passing the red wavelength components of the blue-yellow output while attenuating the blue-yellow spectral wavelength, resulting in a balanced white output having a correlated color temperature, chromaticity coordinates, and color rendering indices similar to that of-an incandescent lamp output.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2003Publication date: June 16, 2005Inventor: Dwayne Tieszen

Patent number: 6851832Abstract: LED tube light housings configured to control and orient the lateral position of inserted LEDs on a wiring harness. An LED tube light housing includes a first end, a second end, an inner surface, and an outer surface. First and second sections are generally formed inside the housing. The first section is configured in the form of a cavity for providing a vertical orientation of one or more LEDs. At least the top of the first section, e.g., the cavity, is transparent, translucent, or the like, to permit light emitted from LEDs contained therein to pass therethrough. The remaining portion of the housing may be transparent, translucent, opaque, or a combination thereof. The second section is configured to contain therein electrical components of the wiring harness. No printed circuit board portions are included in the wiring harness.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2002Date of Patent: February 8, 2005Inventor: Dwayne A. Tieszen

Patent number: 6663260Abstract: An equipment work light ring equipment work light ring includes a light ring and a holding ring. The light ring and the holding ring each include an upper side, a lower side, an inner side, and an outer side. The inner and outer sides of the upper side of the light ring defines therein a circular channel. At a lower portion of the channel are a plurality of angled slots. The lower side of the light ring includes a plurality of apertures defined therein for allowing light to pass therethrough. The outer side of the holding ring includes defined therein a plurality of channels configured for securely engaging and cooperating attaching elements included in the light ring. The equipment work light ring includes a plurality of light emitting diodes for inserting into the angled slots at the lower portion of the channel in the light ring.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2002Date of Patent: December 16, 2003Inventor: Dwayne A. Tieszen

Patent number: 5141449Abstract: A snap-on light socket for a flexible light strip assembly includes a plurality of sockets which are removably and randomly fixed to a standard insulated wire (conductor). The socket is, in affect, comprised of a primary chamber into which is inserted a pair of cooperating contacts which serve to grip a conventional wedge base lamp and which have sharply pointed portions extending therefrom which pierce the insulation of the wire to effect the electrical connection. A lower tunnel-like channel is formed to accept and to grip the insulated wire and includes slotted means permitting the said sharply pointed portions of the contacts to extend partially into said channels to be in position to pierce the insulation when the socket is affixed to the insulated wire.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1991Date of Patent: August 25, 1992Assignee: Vista Manufacturing, Inc.Inventor: Dwayne A. Patent number: 5023762Abstract: A channel and locking end tip for vinyl tube strip lighting. The tip includes a locking nib which is positioned within a channel opening for preventing the tip from shifting relative to the channel. To remove the tip, its outer end is pivoted upwardly such that the locking nib is spaced slightly above the channel bottom wall. A screw hole is provided through the tip body and channel for mounting. The vinyl tube light overlies the flange when carried by the channel. The mounting screw is external of the lighting bed such that the strip light may be fully assembled by the manufacturer and installed by the user with minimum effort.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 1990Date of Patent: June 11, 1991Assignee: Vista Manufacturing, Inc.Inventor: Dwayne Tieszen

Patent number: 4376966Abstract: A series of electric lamps spaced along the interior of a flexible vinyl tube, such lamps being connected in electric parallel with each other by a pair of insulated conductors that exit from the tube through an opening adjacent one end of the tube. A thermoplastic sealant having a vinyl content is applied by a special procedure into each of the ends of the tube to seal closed such ends of the tube as well as the point of egress of the conductors. The tube is disposed in a channel-like mounting bracket having a restricted entrance through which the tube is viewable. A special procedure is provided for connecting uninsulated leads of the lamps to insulated parallel conductors such that no additional insulation is required.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1980Date of Patent: March 15, 1983Assignee: Vista Manufacturing, Inc.Inventor: Dwayne A.
