  • Publication number: 20050182250
Abstract: The present invention discloses green fluorescent protein (GFP) and GFP variants that are derived from Renilla reniformis. The Renilla reniformis GFP and variants there of, are optimized for expression in human cells and are further used as a scaffold for the in vivo display of peptides and peptide libraries.

    Publication date: August 18, 2005
Inventors: Scott Happe, Dwight Dubois, Katie Leininger
  • Publication number: 20050064451
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions, methods and kits for the PCR-based detection of bacterial species. Methods are provided for increasing the specificity of a PCR-based bacterial assay. More specifically, primer sets and PCR-based assays are provided that amplify and detect conserved 16S rRNA gene sequences from multiple Mycoplasma species. The invention also provides kits for performing those assays, and compositions comprising oligonucleotide primers useful in those assays.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 8, 2004
    Publication date: March 24, 2005
Inventors: Scott Happe, Justin Brown, Frank Bozyan, Dwight Dubois
  • Publication number: 20050000841
Abstract: A specimen package includes a top, a first side, connected to the top, a bottom, connected to the first side, and a second side, connected to the bottom. The package also includes therein an internal separator. The internal separator forms a first compartment and a second compartment within the package. The top includes a window for viewing the first compartment. The bottom includes a second window for viewing the second compartment. The top, the first side, the bottom, the second side, and the internal separator can all be formed by folding a shaped planar sheet. The first compartment can contain a specimen, placeable within the first compartment. The second compartment can contain a label, placeable within the second compartment. The specimen is viewable through the first window, and the label is viewable through the second window.
