  • Publication number: 20240082969
Abstract: A handling cell for a machine tool comprises a loading interface, a handling unit with a handling robot, a feeding interface for a feeding cart, and a provisioning unit. The loading interface is arranged to be coupled to a workspace of a first machine tool. The feeding cart is used to transport workpieces that are arranged on loading aids. The provisioning unit moves loading aids between the feeding cart and a provisioning position for a transfer between the handling unit and the provisioning unit. A manufacturing system for machining comprises at least one machine tool, and a handling cell. The machine tool is configured for multi-axis machining and comprises a tool holder and a workpiece holder. The tool holder and the workpiece holder are movable relative to each other in at least three axes. The tool holder and the workpiece holder are mounted on a rear side of a workspace of the machine tool. The loading interface couples laterally to the workspace of the machine tool.

  • Publication number: 20240082970
Abstract: A tool changing device for a machine tool comprises a handling unit comprising a handling robot, an interchangeable tool magazine, and a provisioning site for the tool magazine. The handling unit comprises a tool gripper for gripping tools. The tool magazine is configured as an upright disk magazine with a vertical rotation axis. The tool magazine is detachably mounted at the provisioning site on a rotary table that is rotatable to provide a desired rotational position of the tool magazine for a tool change in which a selected tool location in the tool magazine is accessible for the tool gripper of the handling unit. The handling unit is adapted to change tools between the tool magazine and a tool holder in a workspace of the machine tool. The handling unit and the tool magazine are arranged in a setup cell of the tool changing device, which is arranged to be coupled to the workspace of the machine tool via a closable setup interface.

  • Publication number: 20240082972
Abstract: A chip removal device for a machine tool comprises a movable chip cart having a receptacle for a chip basket, a chip cart bay for the chip cart, and a connector piece between an opening of the chip basket and a chip removal opening of a working space of the machine tool for removing chips from the working space. The chip basket is removable from the chip cart. The chip cart bay is arranged in an enclosure of the machine tool. The connector piece is displaceable between a release position in which the chip cart is movable out of the chip cart bay and an operating position in which the connector piece and the chip cart are coupled for chip transfer from the working space into the chip cart. A manufacturing system for machining comprises a machine tool and a device for chip removal.
