  • Publication number: 20120319381
Abstract: A wheelable loadbearing and leveraging frame apparatus amenable to receipt of attachments and consisting of first and second elongated members conjoined by way of anterior and medial cross members each with a plurality of horizontally inclined through holes therein and a posterior cross member with a plurality of vertically inclined through holes therein, and with each elongated member having a pair of horizontally inclined transverse through holes located therein and a plurality of vertically inclined through holes located therein.

  • Publication number: 20080236850
Abstract: Vertically mounted compression springs inside heavy walled containment tubes with adjustable tensioning rods mounted above the three-point-hitch of a tractor and connected to the three-point-hitch implement lift arms by chains, which provide supplemental lifting, floating, height control and impact absorption for heavy, tractor-mounted implements.

  • Publication number: 20020078652
Abstract: A modular surface assembly includes a plurality of panels, each panel having a planar top surface, a double-wall skirt extending around the perimeter of the planar surface and defining a narrow gap between the two walls of the skirt. Collinear first holes extend through the skirt at a first location along the skirt and collinear second holes extend through the skirt at a second location along the skirt spaced from the first location. A first connector extends through the first holes and into the gap of one panel for connecting the one panel to an adjacent similar panel at the first location, and a second connector extends through the second holes and into the gap of the one panel for connecting that panel to the adjacent panel at the second location. Various connector designs are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6009586
Abstract: A ramp structure which may be constructed quickly to provide temporary or permanent access to all individuals between two areas of different elevation. A truss design allows long spans to form a bridge without the need for intermediate supports and related support foundations. A truss cross-connector is firmly wedged in place between two trusses and allows the quick, solid joining of two trusses without fasteners to form a strong and stable assembly to serve as ramps, bridges, elevated walkways, etc. The truss cross-connector has resistance to bending and supports the edge of a surface panel and provides a retaining pocket for the surface panel. The truss cross-connector firmly supports the trusses in an upright position when the trusses are used as railings. Surfacing panels placed between the truss cross-connectors provide a high quality, long lasting surface which is quickly installed for temporary or permanent installations, but which can be easily removed for reuse.

  • Patent number: 6003726
Abstract: A hand-held feeder for fasteners having a head and a shank comprises a handle configured to contain fasteners and a channel extending from the handle, the channel having a free end and a support slit extending from the free end toward the handle. The support slit is wider than the fastener shanks but narrower than the heads, so that when fasteners emerging from the handle encounter the slit, the shanks will drop down through the, slit while the heads remain accessible within the channel. The channel is designed to provide unobstructed access to the heads of fasteners having shanks extending through the slit.

  • Patent number: 5743411
Abstract: Upstanding, vertical side rails welded to oppositely facing horizontal top and bottom plates at respective corners thereof form a unitary, rigid, parallelepiped open frame structure including an open front slot to receive a bicycle wheel rim and tire. Deflectable resilient members mounted to side rails extend towards each other and snap behind an inserted bicycle wheel rim. Horizontal side rails or plates and rear plates are fixed to respective pairs of side rails to render the structure rigid. Apertures in the bottom and top plates permit fixedly mounting of the module or a plurality of upright modules to form a multi-module bicycle rack. A transverse common coupling member may be a bench, a planar seat, a table top or a planter. A steel security arm having a U-shaped steel loop welded at one end may be rotatably mounted to the open frame structure at the opposite end.

  • Patent number: 5499888
Abstract: A roadway for bicycle and other tired wheel vehicles formed of a plurality of end-to-end abutting tiles, preferably of a structural foam plastic such as polyethylene includes a generally rigid base having opposed top and bottom surfaces, with the top surface being flat and carrying integrally longitudinally and laterally spaced arcuate ridges. The arcuate ridges form alternating, laterally aligned rows of longitudinally spaced, oppositely facing arcuate ridges, with the arcuate ridges of a given row being offset laterally from corresponding arcuate ridges of adjacent longitudinally spaced rows by one half the length of an arcuate ridge. Further, the arcuate ridges of each lateral row are spaced from each other a distance such that the ends of the arcuate ridges of a given row lie within the concave curve of arcuate ridges of the adjacent, oppositely facing lateral row.

  • Patent number: 5152632
Abstract: A self-guidance bicycle track is formed of a plurality of longitudinally aligned, end-to-end coupled, upwardly open U-shaped molded plastic track sections, each track section has a generally flat, central traction portion and integral, upwardly oppositely facing concave side walls. The central traction portion is recessed below the upwardly concave, laterally opposed sidewalls. The sidewalls terminate in reversely curved, outwardly directed lips. Longitudinally spaced, transverse narrow slots within the molded track central traction portion permit rain water accumulating on the track to drain and surface grit to pass therethrough. Recessing of the traction surface below the lower ends of the concave sidewalls form lateral abutments which prevent a bicycle rear wheel from wandering off the traction surface without inhibiting side-to-side motion of the bicycle front wheel.
