  • Publication number: 20070010748
Abstract: An apparatus for recording physiological data from an ambulatory subject. The apparatus includes a sensor circuit configured to detect input analog signals including input analog signals resulting from eye movement of the ambulatory subject, and a signal processing circuit, in communication with the sensor circuit, configured to receive the input analog signals and to generate an output digital signal based at least in part on the received input analog signals. The apparatus has physical characteristics suitable for portable use by the ambulatory subject.

  • Patent number: 5092586
Abstract: An apparatus for improving balancing skill which comprises a disk with threaded hole in its center and a threaded rod screwed through the threaded hole. The user stands on the disk and attempts to maintain the disk in a horizontal position, i.e., balance himself on the disk and supported on the rod. Difficulty of maintaining balance is proportional to the distance from the contact point with the floor to the hole in the center of the disk. This distance is indicated for a given position of the rod by indicia imprinted on the side of the rod. The indicia therefore gives the user the opportunity to measure the difficulty of performing the exercise and to vary the difficulty by a controlled increment.

  • Patent number: 4380357
Abstract: A flexible media having a plurality of electrical conductors extending radially outward from a central portion thereof with insulative material interposed between adjacent conductors. Radially inward portions of selected ones of the conductors are placed in contact with respective ones of a first set of electrical components disposed in a first predetermined pattern and radially outward portions of the selected conductors are placed in contact with respective ones of a second set of electrical components disposed in a second predetermined pattern, the second set of components being spaced farther apart than the first set of components. In one embodiment the media is comprised of a circular elastomer material having electrical conductors disposed at equal angular intervals over the circumference of the material.
