    Abstract: In a method of making a monetary transaction between a customer and a merchant, a processing terminal of the merchant is operated to establish a connection with a mobile terminal of the customer and to request for virtual currency information issued by a financial institution and stored in the mobile terminal. Upon receipt of the virtual currency information from the mobile terminal, the processing terminal issues an authentication request to the financial institution. The monetary transaction is completed upon receipt of an authorization response from the financial institution.

A receiving unit, which is situated at a mail delivery service provider, is operable so as to establish a network connection with the sending computer so as to receive the electronic document therefrom. A printing unit is coupled to the receiving unit, receives the electronic document from the receiving unit, and makes a printed document that corresponds to the electronic document. An enveloping unit is operable so as to wrap the printed document in enveloping material. A conveying unit, which is disposed between the printing unit and the enveloping unit, is responsible for conveying the printed document from the printing unit to the enveloping unit.

The server is adapted to establish a connection with a payment control center for conducting non-cash payment. The portable transaction terminal is adapted to be operated by a delivery personnel who is responsible for delivering the product to a customer. By operating the portable transaction terminal, identification data of an electronic money owned by the customer can be inputted, and a communications link can be established with the server for transmitting the identification data to the payment control center so that payment for the product can be arranged by the payment control center through the electronic money of the customer.

    Abstract: In an electronic mail delivery method, a sending computer is operated so as to create an electronic mail and to set parameters of the electronic mail, including address of an intended mail recipient. A connection is then established between the sending computer and a mail-handling server, and the electronic mail and the parameters thereof are transmitted from the sending computer to the mail-handling server. The mail-handling server stores the electronic mail received from the sending computer in a location thereof, and transmits a mail alert message, which includes location information of the electronic mail in the mail-handling server, to the sending computer. The sending computer forwards the mail alert message received from the mail-handling server to a receiving computer of the intended mail recipient. Upon receipt of the mail alert message, the receiving computer is operated to establish a connection with the mail-handling server, and to download the electronic mail from the mail-handling server.
