  • Patent number: 4888725
Abstract: A circuit for subtracting wide band signals without requiring an amplifier having good common mode rejection converts each wide band signal into opposing currents. A switching network applies the desired current for each wide band signal to a summing node. The combined current at the summing node is input to a drive amplifier to produce an output signal that is the desired combination of the wide band signals.

  • Patent number: 4811083
Abstract: Apparatus for displaying in polar coordinates the relative phase and amplitude of a chrominance signal comprises a display device, such as a CRT display device, having a circuit for adjusting the brightness of the light dot. The apparatus also comprises a circuit for generating a blanking signal and applying it to the adjustment circuit in the event that the amplitude of the chrominance signal is below a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4694324
Abstract: A circuit for use with a vectorscope to indicate SC/H phase of a composite video signal comprises an oscillator for generating a continuous wave signal at subcarrier frequency and having its phase locked to the horizontal sync point of the video signal, and a switch for connection between the output terminal of the filter of the vectorscope and the second inputs of the demodulators of the vectorscope and for connection also to the oscillator, for alternately connecting the subcarrier burst from the filter of the vectorscope and the sync locked continuous wave from the oscillator to the demodulators.

  • Patent number: 4585989
Abstract: A 50% point of amplitude and phase detector. A differential amplifier produces non-inverted and inverted signals representative of a periodic input signal. Respective sample and hold circuits sample the levels of the non-inverted and inverted signals at predetermined points and the difference is input to the differential amplifier to equalize the position of those signals. The crossover of the non-inverted and inverted signals is detected by a gated differential amplifier whose output controls an oscillator from which the gating signal is derived to lock the phase of the oscillator output with the phase of the periodic signal.
