  • Patent number: 4312466
Abstract: A pistol holster has features that allow the safety strap to be adjusted to accommodate different sizes of pistols. The safety strap has an outer end secured to the outer portion of the holster body by a releasable fastener. The inner end of the safety strap is secured also by a releasable fastener. The inner fastener allows the strap to be fastened at various points along the length of the holster to vary the dimensions of the loop defined by the strap. The strap passes through a slot in the side of the holster to retain it. A flap depends from the top of the holster for protecting the inner fastener. Preferably, the inner fastener consists of strips of material that adhere to each other when pressed into contact.

  • Patent number: 4079870
Abstract: A pistol holster having features to prevent unauthorized withdrawal by an assailant. The holster has a body of flexible material, closed at the front and rear to define a pocket for receiving a pistol. The upper rear portion of the holster has a trigger guard pocket for receiving the trigger guard member. The trigger guard pocket extends up over a portion of the trigger guard member so that if the pistol is drawn from a rearwardly direction with respect to the barrel axis, the trigger guard pocket will exert a substantial drag on the pistol, preventing the withdrawal. The trigger guard pocket leaves a portion of the trigger guard uncovered at the top so that the pistol may easily be withdrawn in the direction parallel with its barrel axis. The belt loop assembly has a threaded screw connected between the body and belt loop assembly to selectively pull the holster body tightly against the user, providing rigidity and making the pistol less accessible to an assailant.

  • Patent number: 4062481
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a holster for pistols having an improved belt loop assembly. A pair of belt loop assemblies are connected to opposite sides of the gun receiving pocket. Each assembly has an inner piece of holster material containing a slot for the reception of a belt. An outer piece free of slots is joined to the inner piece at the top and bottom, defining a belt receiving opening on the outer edge in communication with the adjacent slot. A pin depends from the loop that fastens the pistol in the holster for locking shrouded revolvers in place.
