  • Patent number: 5333518
Abstract: A saw blade sharpening apparatus for sharpening an elongated blade having a plurality of aligned cutting teeth. The apparatus includes a grinder mechanism to sharpen the teeth. The grinder includes a body and a rotating grindstone, the grindstone having an axis aligned with the blade. The rotating grindstone continuously circulates in a rotational pattern to move the grindstone across the surface of one of the teeth to grind the entire surface of the tooth. At the same time, the rotating grindstone advances the blade linearly from the tooth being ground to the next tooth in succession.
