  • Publication number: 20160050904
Abstract: A cover apparatus for preventing rodent from entering an access opening of the conduit containing electrical supply lines is provided. The cover apparatus may have a first portion and a second portion, each portion forms a complementary base member defined by a peripheral edge and an operable edge. Along each peripheral edge, a flange member may extend therefrom. Each base member is dimensioned and adapted to be joined so that when joined, they collectively form a shape matching the shape of the access opening, so that the flange members snugly circumscribe the outer periphery of the conduit, while the operable edges abut. Each operable edge forms cooperating notches and protrusions for snugly receiving the plurality of cables. Along the flange member, at each peripheral and operable edge intersection, a fastener tab is formed for securely joining the first and second portions in the operable configuration about the access opening.

  • Patent number: 7182170
Abstract: A gerotor and bearing apparatus for a whirling mass orbital vibrator which generates vibration in a borehole. The apparatus includes a gerotor with an inner gear rotated by a shaft having one less lobe than an outer gear. A whirling mass is attached to the shaft. At least one bearing is attached to the shaft so that the bearing engages at least one sleeve. A mechanism is provided to rotate the inner gear, the mass and the bearing in a selected rotational direction in order to cause the mass, the inner gear, and the bearing to backwards whirl in an opposite rotational direction. The backwards whirling mass creates seismic vibrations.

  • Publication number: 20060190978
Abstract: An Internet server is operatively coupled to a configurable set-top terminal (STT), thereby providing remote access to the configurable STT through the Internet server. The Internet server is configured to provide web-pages that preferably emulate the user interface for the configurable STT. In that regard, a subscriber can log into the Internet server and configure the configurable STT from various devices that are Internet-compatible. The Internet server is configured to translate input by the subscriber into configuration information for the configurable STT that is pushed out to the configurable STT directly after being received from the subscriber.

  • Patent number: 6788782
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for switching between two network lines, such as telephone subscriber lines. Households and offices are increasingly equipped with multiple network lines for voice and data communications. The line switching unit of the present invention has a first terminal for receiving a CPE line from a CPE device. First and second switches of the unit each connect a common terminal to a first switched terminal responsive to a first value of a control signal received at a control terminal of each switch and to a second switched terminal responsive to a second value of the control signal. The first switched terminal of the first switch is connected to the first terminal and the second switched terminal of the second switch is connected to the first terminal. The common terminal of the first switch is connected to a first network line and the common terminal of the second switch is connected to a second network line.

  • Patent number: 6728309
Abstract: Disclosed is an architecture and method for high speed transmission over a four-wire subscriber line. Each modem in the present invention includes a V.90 transmit section and a V.90 receive section. The V.90 transmit section is dedicated to transmitting data over one pair of a four-wire subscriber line, while the V.90 receive section is dedicated to receiving data over the other pair of the four-wire subscriber line. The present invention permits full-duplex transmission at 56 Kbps over a four-wire subscriber line.
