  • Patent number: 5452703
Abstract: An arrow holder for use in a quiver for holding arrows having different sized shafts. A flexible mount is supported in a rigid bracket. The mount includes an entrance and at least one arrow shaft storage space for receiving a shaft. A pair of opposing arrow shaft restrictors are positioned between the storage space and the entrance and a capacity insert slot is positioned adjacent the storage space for receiving an insert for changing the size of the storage space. The storage space may also be changed in size by a mount positioning means pressing against the mount for changing the position of the mount.

  • Patent number: 4579101
Abstract: An arrow rest adapted to be connected to either side of a bow. A swinging arm is pivotally supported from a body, in one position the swinging arm supports the arrow, and in a second position the swinging arm is movable away from the arrow. The arm is releasably locked by a flexible door which is spring biased to a position locking the arm. The door is actuated by the release of the arrow which releases the arm. The arm is moved out of the way of the arrow by a spring. The arm may be held in two positions for use by either right handed or left handed archers such that the arrow rest may be mounted to either side of the bow.

  • Patent number: 4254958
Abstract: An arrowhead for attachment to an arrow shaft including a base for abutting the end of the shaft in which the base includes an opening in its center for receiving a fastener for securing the arrowhead to the shaft end. A plurality of support sides are connected to and extend generally perpendicular from the base and blades extend from the edges of the sides. The sides are generally rectangularly shaped and the blades are generally triangularly shaped. The method of making the arrowhead includes making a hole in a flat metal body having a variety of shapes, cutting a plurality of slits in the body extending from the outer edge of the body towards the center, bending the cut edges outwardly to form a blade at each cut edge, and bending the sides generally perpendicularly to the base for support.

  • Patent number: 4080951
Abstract: An archery silencer for use on the string and/or cable of an archery bow in which a plurality of lengths of fibrous material is secured to a flexible support. The silencer is connected to the string and/or cable adjacent each end of the string or cable to dampen the vibration of the string and/or cable and therefore reduce the sound caused by the vibrating bow string and/or cable. Preferably, the lengths of fibrous material are positioned closely together in a plane generally parallel to each other and the flexible support is a narrow elongate support positioned transverse to the lengths of material and secured to the material approximately midway between the ends of the lengths. Preferably, each end of the support extends beyond the lengths of the material for attachment of each end to the string and/or cable of the bow. Each end of the support may be longitudinally split for providing ends which can be tied to the string and/or cable.
