  • Publication number: 20070053852
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions having bioactive transfer proteins in stable carrier systems. Such systems are above all suitable for influencing/changing lipid cell structures by means of improved lipid exchange, while at the same time having great stability. In this connection, not only transfer proteins and lipid components, but also protective colloids are used, by means of which an impairment of the transfer effect of the proteins and a loss of stability can be avoided. The compositions are suitable for external topical use for cleansing, care, dermatological and/or therapeutic treatment of the skin, hair, or mucous membranes.

  • Patent number: 6565881
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new type of solid balneological preparations for cosmetic, hygienic and therapeutic use, which has both the properties of a solid bath additive and those of liquid products, and is characterized especially by the addition of lipid components, vesicle forming lipids, tensides and, in some cases, mineral salts. Active components, adjuvants such as stabilizers, adsorbing substances, lubricants as well as smoothing and breakdown promoting agents may also be contained therein.

  • Patent number: 5766628
Abstract: The invention relates to novel essentially anhydrous oily bath and shower compositions containing a combination of fatty oil and/or fatty or waxy apolar substance, oil-soluble surfactant, and vesicle-forming lipid and, if desired, a cosmetically- or balneologically-active ingredient. When poured into or simply admixed with water, these formulations immediately and automatically, generate dispersed vesicles or liposomes. They exhibit an immediate as well as a prolonged or depot effect, can be used alone or added to or together with existing bath or shower formulations, and are especially suited for use in connection with or as additives to full, partial, or shower baths.

  • Patent number: 5382601
Abstract: The present invention provides solid pharmaceutical compositions in dosage form containing an active ingredient or principle, preferably memantine, which exhibit an extended two-phase release profile and which are characterized by the presence of both a water-soluble and a water-insoluble salt of casein, preferably sodium and calcium caseinate, in the matrix thereof, in broad proportions and in a total amount between 5 and 98% by weight of the composition, and with a process for the production thereof.

  • Patent number: 5288501
Abstract: The application discloses a process for the manufacture of mechanically-stable, readily-disintegratable tablets made of small preformed, preferably rounded, particles or pellets containing a high percentage of active ingredient in which--prior to compression--the particles are coated with an aqueous or aqueous/organic suspension containing water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol having an ester content of 19.4 to 6.7%, a disintegrant, and finely-divided cellulose, the remainder being excipients such as additional colloids, adjuvants, dyes, and/or flavors and the suspending liquid, and dried, the stable but readily-friable tablet product thus-produced, and a method of delivering an active ingredient by the employment of such a tablet for oral ingestion.

  • Patent number: 5143940
Abstract: Ambiphilic creams with improved spreading and penetration properties as well as improved tolerance contain a glycerol-monostearate-free water-in-oil emulsifier and glycerol and/or sorbitol. Ambiphilic creams with an isopropyl myristate content have particularly favorable properties.
