  • Publication number: 20100049027
Abstract: An electrode belt is provided for carrying out electrodiagnostic procedures on the human body. The electrode belt includes a belt (2), which is formed at least partially of an elastic material and surrounds the body of a test subject. A plurality of electrodes, are mechanically connected to the belt and are in flat contact with the body of the test subject. At least one contact passes from the electrodes through the belt (2) and is connected to a connection element (11), which is connected to a lead each of a multicore cable (6). Such an electrode belt offers marked advantages in terms of handling along with increased safety from movement artifacts.

  • Patent number: 6942612
Abstract: A hood with a double wall portion or wall adapter for a thermotherapy device. The wall adapter works with the hood in such thermotherapy devices to lower that part of the body heat of the premature or newborn infant lost due to radiation to the cooler hood. The construction avoids inter alia problems relating to water of condensation being formed, which may drop off. The double wall portion or wall adapter is arranged on the outside of a hood portion of the hood (1). The wall adapter (2) is fastened to the hood part (1) from the outside in a simple manner. A connection structure (5) provides for connection or locking of the wall adapter (2) at the hood (1). A seal (3) extends around the wall element of the wall adapter (2) to enclose an intermediate space between the wall adapter and (2) and the hood (1).

  • Patent number: 5931163
Abstract: A device with a valve for setting the flow of a flow medium, which has a passage channel with an inlet opening and with an outlet opening for the flow medium, and with a tongue-like valve element, which is arranged in the passage channel. The valve element is adjustable in a rotatably movable manner with an actuating device between two end positions. The device is adapted to users who need the flow medium at different pressure levels by providing a discharge opening branching off from the passage channel. The discharge opening is provided with a diaphragm opening having a predetermined gap geometry. The discharge opening with diaphragm opening is arranged in the range of pivoting of the valve element such that the discharge opening is closed in one of the end positions and the passage channel is switched essentially in the direction of flow at the same time.

  • Patent number: 5826573
Abstract: A gas flow control element with a gas-permeable section, through which excess gas flows to the outside from an interior space (10), is to be improved such that it can be cleaned with ease and that a defined, reproducible discharge is present. To accomplish this task, the gas-permeable section comprises individual disks (5) lying one on top of another, which are provided with flow channels.

  • Patent number: 5413097
Abstract: A fan-supported gas mask and breathing equipment with a fan unit with adjustable delivery output such that the delivery output of the fan and detection sensor will be automatically adjusted to the necessary filter property, depending on the type of the filter insert used. To achieve this, the filter connection (10) and the filter insert (16) are provided with a marking, which characterizes the filter property (particle filter or gas filter), on the one hand, and, on the other hand, actuates electric contacts for setting the necessary fan output and, if desired, for actuating a detection sensor.

  • Patent number: 4850566
Abstract: The invention is directed to a valve wherein the valve closure body includes two bracing elements lying in contact engagement with the inner wall surface of the wall casing of a conduit. The two bracing elements are disposed in spaced relationship to each other so that this spacing defines a squeeze zone at which a squeezing pressure can be applied. The squeeze zone has a length which corresponds approximately to the wall spacing within the sleeve. When the elastic wall casing of the conduit is squeezed in the squeeze zone, a portion of the casing deflects to allow passage of a fluid through the conduit.
