Abstract: Legality expressions are systematically pre-processed, organized, and stored to achieve faster real-time response, improved predictability, and increased reliability for queries against a large volume of legality expressions. Exponential improvements in both the time to locate the set of legality expressions matching specified search criteria and the processing costs of evaluating the request against the matching legality expressions are achieved using the disclosed systems, devices, and methods. The systems, devices, and methods are unique to the optimization of legality expression processing, but they can also enable the use of other optimization techniques for processing large amounts of data.

Abstract: An upper is made of a flat composite which includes a substantially flat plastic layer molded directly over a fabric layer. The plastic layer has at least one ventilation hole, an inner peripheral end defining an opening, an outer peripheral end extending around the inner peripheral end, and two opposite marginal ends each extending from the inner peripheral end to the outer peripheral end. The flat composite is looped and formed into the upper when the marginal ends are connected to each other. The plastic layer further has at least one molded ventilation hole. The fabric layer has an integral extension flap that extends beyond the outer peripheral end.

Abstract: A shoe includes a shell that has a bottom wall, and a peripheral wall which extends upward from a periphery of the bottom wall. The bottom wall includes a front region, a rear region, and an arch support region between the front and rear regions. An upper is connected to the peripheral wall. Front and heel sole units are connected to the front and rear regions of the bottom wall, respectively. At least one of the front and heel sole units includes a midsole component and an outsole component. The arch support region has no midsole component and no outsole component, and is provided with a ventilation hole.

Abstract: A shoe includes an upper having a heel portion that has a rear wall adapted to extend around the heel of a foot. At least one adjustment pad is attached loosely to the rear wall within the heel portion. The adjustment pad includes an intermediate part, first and second ends on two opposite sides of the intermediate part, a first surface confronting the rear wall, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. A strap passage unit is provided on the rear wall. A strap is attached to the adjustment pad, and passes movably through the strap passage unit. When the strap is pulled to move through the strap passage unit, the strap is tensed, and the adjustment pad is moved inward so as to abut against the foot in the shoe.

A component may be, for example, a principal, an action, a resource, and a condition. The invention also relates to a method for integrating a first right with a second right. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of sharing rights by deriving a sub-right from a right, allowing use of the sub-right, and integrating the sub-right with the right.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for a digital content player having a DRM agent to perform rights management operations on a digital content package, including loading rights management instructions to be executed by the digital content player, the rights management instructions being associated with the digital content package, executing the rights management instructions on the digital content player, and loading supporting licenses associated with the digital content package for processing by the DRM agent. The DRM agent deciding whether to permit the rights management operations requested by the rights management instructions. Further exemplary embodiments include systems, methods and computer program products for associating usage rights with digital content packages, managing of digital rights tokens, managing of digital content packages having predetermined broadcast dates, preserving of usage rights when content is transferred between DRM environments, and distributing content packages.

Various aspects of the present invention may comprise a first module adapted to receive, during a first time interval, first luma information of previously decoded horizontal luma pixels and calculate a first luma prediction coefficient based on such information. A second module may be adapted to receive, during the first time interval, second luma information of previously decoded vertical luma pixels and calculate a second luma prediction coefficient based on such information. A third module may be adapted to receive, during the first time interval, third luma information of previously decoded horizontal and vertical luma pixels, and calculate a third luma prediction coefficient based on such information. A fourth module may be adapted to receive the first, second and third luma prediction coefficients and pixel coordinate information, and generate a luma pixel prediction value corresponding to the pixel coordinate information.

Abstract: A trust policy is constructed based upon a social relationship between real-world entities. The trust policy may determined based upon a social network and social network maps. The social network map provides a framework to determine social distances. The trust policy provides quick and secure access to desired or trusted nodes while providing security from entities outside the trusted sphere of nodes. The trust policy determined by the social distance may be used for various types of applications including filtering unwanted e-mail, providing secure access to resources, and accessing protected services. File sharing, referral querying, advertisement targeting, announcement targeting, access control, and various applications may be limited using the constructed trust policy.

Abstract: An enforceable property right and a system for controlling the manner of use of an item in accordance with usage rights. The enforceable property right includes an item ticket having a security mechanism incorporated therein and specifying an item for which the item ticket can be redeemed and a license associated with the item ticket. The license includes usage rights specifying a manner of use for redeeming the item ticket and a mechanism for unlocking said security mechanism.

Abstract: An outsole is provided with a protection flange projecting outwardly from the outer peripheral surface of the outsole and substantially flush with a top side of the outsole. An upper has a bottom end portion which includes a connection part extending laterally and outwardly from the bottom end portion thereof and attached to the protection flange and the top side of the outsole. Preferably, the connection part is an outwardly turned part of the upper or a welt. With the protection flange, the connection part is permitted to be ground so as to be flush with the protection flange without harming the outer peripheral surface of the outsole.
