Abstract: A connector plate for rigidly securing two intersecting wood members of a wood structure together in abutting relation is formed of sheet steel or the like with a plurality of pairs of teeth struck therefrom and extending perpendicularly to the plane of the plate, each of the teeth having a sharpened outermost end formed by initially stamping a plurality of grooves in the sheet steel plate diagonally with respect to the areas from which the plurality of pairs of teeth are subsequently struck.

Abstract: A connector plate and tail truss are combined so that the formation of a floor truss of the tail truss type results wherein an extension of the top chord of the vertically spaced parallel chords extends outwardly beyond the end members of the truss so as to support the same on a bearing wall. The connector plate is of a general T-shape having a plurality of teeth struck therefrom with each of the plurality of teeth having a twisted shape with the outer portion of each of the teeth lying at approximately 50 degrees to the inner portion thereof adjacent the plate from which the teeth are struck. The twisted configuration of the teeth is such that any tendency of the truss to move vertically relative to the extended end portions thereof is resisted by the several teeth which tend to move inwardly of the timber of the truss so that the combined truss and connector plate resists sagging of the truss that would otherwise occur.

Abstract: A roof truss forming machine for assembling and nailing with nail plates timbers into a planar roof truss includes a jig frame having a base with a continuous inflatable tubular member arranged thereon for creating a seal between the base and a supporting floor surface and a vacuum machine for creating a partial vacuum between the base and the seal to hold the roof truss forming machine in a desired location. A plurality of such machines arranged in a desired pattern simultaneously drive nailer plates into the timbers forming the truss.

Abstract: A hinge plate has an arcuate knuckle which inter-fits with the knuckle joint of a door jamb, the knuckles being secured to each other by a pair of pintles in the hinge knuckle which are urged in opposite directions by a spring and held in movable relation partly within the hinge knuckle by press fit bushings.
