  • Publication number: 20060099397
Abstract: The invention relates to a ceramic moulded body, namely a roof tile, a brick, a clinker or a facade wall, consisting of an oxide ceramic base material and comprising a surface which self-cleans by means of water-sprinkling or percolation. Said moulded body has a porous, oxide ceramic coating which is photocatalytically active and has a specific surface of between approximately 25 m2/g and approximately 200 m2/g, preferably between approximately 40 m2/g and approximately 150 m2/g. The invention also, relates to a method for producing one such ordinary ceramic moulded body.

    Filed: May 28, 2003
    Publication date: May 11, 2006
    Applicant: Erlus Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Axel Thierauf, Eduard Gast, Friederike Bauer

  • Publication number: 20040108031
Abstract: The invention relates to solid gas generator fuel compositions (gas producing mixtures), comprising: (A) nitroguanidine or nitroguanidine stabilised with 0.1 to 0.5% nitroguanidinium hydrogen sulphate and nitroguanidinium nitrate as fuel; (B) an oxidising agent selected from the group comprising alkali and earth alkali nitrates, chlorates and perchlorates, ammonium nitrate and perchlorate, copper compounds with oxidising properties and mixtures thereof; (C) a stabiliser selected from the group comprising hydrophobic SiO2, inorganic and organic acids and mixtures thereof; and optionally (D) a combustion stabiliser or moderator and ash former or trap and mixtures thereof. The above gas generator fuel compositions comprise an improved shelf-life under hot storage conditions at 110° C.

  • Patent number: 6412816
Abstract: A pyrotechnical gas generator, preferably for an airbag system, consists of a housing, an ignition unit, a gas generating mixture, a conically shaped cooling system (or cooling and filtering system) tapering in the discharge direction, a gas generating mixture disposed within the cooling system. The housing is preferably one piece and tubular. The combustion gases are discharged through exit ports arranged radially, axially or diagonally on a side of the housing opposite the ignition unit. The cooling system (or cooling and filtering system) separates the gas generator into a combustion chamber, which contains the gas generating mixture and in which a gas is generated by burning the gas generating mixture, and an outflow chamber, through which the cooled (and optionally filtered) gas can flow and the exit through the exit ports.

  • Patent number: 5024708
Abstract: Gas generating propellants with flame temperatures below 1400.degree. K. (isobaric) based on duroplastic and/or thermoplastic binders containing up to 80% by weight of triaminoguanidine nitrate as the chief gas generating component which can be cast or pressed into shapes having good chemical stability and excellent mechanical properties useful in propulsion engines and energy yielding systems.
