  • Patent number: 8190280
Abstract: A method and appertaining system implement the use of manufacturing protocols for hearing aid design such that the ability to build an instrument can be displayed as a numeric parameter based on the partial numerical and metrological contributions of all the essential parameters of the given impression, and a buildability index can be displayed as a 3D virtual image of the proposed shell or preferred shell types. The method utilizes a predefined parameter table comprising parameters to utilize for a buildability determination. The buildability index is computed based on impression shape data, selected shell type, selected number of device options, data obtained from the parameter table, and data obtained from a receiver table, and the buildability index is output to a display of a user interface device or an external system.

  • Patent number: 7672468
Abstract: In a method for adjusting the transmission characteristic of a hearing aid, the characteristic being defined by hearing aid-specific parameters, a data processing device is used that has a screen and a pointer device. On a graphics user interface of the data processing device, an object displayed in a first area of the screen is selected and copied with the pointer device and the copy is moved into the second area of the screen and stored there, with the transmission characteristic of the hearing aid being able to be changed by the stored object. Settings selected for a hearing aid or a hearing program thus can be transferred quickly and easily to a second hearing aid or a second hearing program.

  • Patent number: 6574340
Abstract: In a method for determining a parameter set for a hearing aid during the computerized setting of the hearing aid, a macro call is determined, the macro call is converted into at least one setting command according to a macro definition, and the parameter set is determined dependent on the at least one setting command. Such a method is high-performance and nonetheless flexible and easy to manipulate.

  • Patent number: 5835611
Abstract: In a method for the adaptation of the transmission characteristic of a hearing aid to the hearing aid impairment of a hearing aid wearer using a personal computer having a pointer device such as a mouse, the acoustician selects segments of the graphic presentation of the hearing aid parameters with the mouse, modifies the graphics point-by-point or segment-by-segment by displacement of the mouse and thereby correspondingly co-modifies appertaining, displayable parameters. The hearing aid can be adapted to reach a target characteristic by means of one adaptation procedure, followed if necessary by further analogous fine adaptation procedures.

  • Patent number: 5144674
Abstract: Digitally programmable, single-channel and multi-channel hearing aids of various manufacturers and/or hearing aids having different acoustic characteristics can be set and adjusted with the programming device of the invention. The programming device includes a microcontroller, main memories, interchangeable company program modules with plug-in locations, and a master program module with corresponding plug location. A display is also provided for the programming device.

  • Patent number: 4481328
Abstract: A pulverulent polymer composition which is readily pourable, has a low tendency to form dust and has good stability on storage is composed of a mixture of a vinyl ester polymer and a small proportion of a hydrophobic silica. The composition is prepared by spray drying an aqueous vinyl ester polymer dispersion in the presence of a hydrophobic silica. The silica is preferably a product from the reaction of a hydrophilic silica with an organochlorosilane. The composition can be redispersed in water and the films produced from such dispersions are transparent; they are suitable for the production of paints, glues and adhesives.

  • Patent number: 4252099
Abstract: A switching arrangement for regulation of a fuel-air mixture delivered to an internal combustion engine by means of an oxygen-measuring sensor in an exhaust flow of an internal combustion engine which produces an electric signal which is in turn used by a control unit of the fuel injection system including the fuel supply pump and timed valve and being influenced by supplementary air valve and warm-up control is improved by simplifying the circuit arrangement through the use of an rpm relay, that can be affected by the rpm of the internal combustion engine as the only relay to control operation of the control unit and timed valve as well as the fuel pump, supplementary air valve, the warm-up control.
