  • Publication number: 20170224572
Abstract: A device for passive therapeutic exercise comprises at least one pedal for supporting a foot during a swivelling motion of the foot, the pedal being pivotally mounted on a shaft, the pedal arranged on a side of a drive housing on a revolving shaft extending from the side wall of the drive housing, the revolving shaft coupled with a drive mechanism arranged in the drive housing to create a forced swinging movement of the pedal around an axis of the shaft, whereas the axis of swinging movement of the pedal is arranged under the pedal adjacent to the perpendicular projection of the ankle joint to the pedal, whereas the drive housing may be provided with outriggers to adjust the inclination of the drive housing towards the base, and a mechanism to switch operations on and off, and regulate the size of range and speed of the pedal swinging movement.

  • Patent number: 7726957
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotating piston machine, especially a compressor, a pump or a motor, comprising a rotating piston which defines working chambers with variable volumes and is located in a cylinder (1) provided with two lateral walls and a curved jacket. Said piston can be rotated about two parallel rotational axes (7, 8), vertically in relation to the lateral walls of the cylinder, and can be displaced in two directions both vertically in relation to each other and in relation to the parallel rotational axes. To this end, the piston (2) is provided with two guiding shafts (71, 81) having parallel rotational axes, said guiding shafts (71, 81) being provided with guiding elements (5, 6), preferably slides or journals, in a vertical direction in relation to the rotational axes (7, 8), on which the piston (2) is displaceably positioned by means of sliding elements (3, 4), preferably grooves or liners.

  • Patent number: 7634902
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for converting heat energy into mechanical energy by modifying the volume, pressure and temperature of a working medium, wherein the working medium in the first state (1) is suctioned and the volume of said first stage (1) is increased, whereupon it is converted into a second stage (2) when the volume of the first stage (1) is reduced and the volume of the second stage is increased, whereupon the working medium is converted into a fourth stage (4) via a third stage (3) wherein the volume of the second stage (2) is reduced, heat is also supplied and the volume of the fourth stage (4) is increased, whereupon the working medium is converted into a fifth stage (5) from the fourth stage (4) wherein the volume thereof is reduced and in the fifth stage (5) the volume of said fifth stage is expanded. The inventive method discloses a thermodynamic cycle process comprising five cycles. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out said method.

  • Patent number: 4330568
Abstract: A method of bonding at least two types of refractory ceramic materials, a first material being, for example, fireclay and a second material being, for example, alumina, to each other in order to enhance both the abrasion and corrosion resistances of heat resistant plates for valve closures of foundry ladles. The second, thermally more resistive material, which is applied to the first material in the form of relatively small particles, is preheated on at least the outer surface layers of the particles, the entire volume of the particles usually being preheated or even molten. The bonding of the two preheated materials occurs in such a way that minute particles up to drops of the second, thermally more resistive material are thrown at high speed (with high kinetic energy) onto the preheated surface of the first material. The source of such a relatively high kinetic energy can be constituted by either an explosion or a plasma beam ejected at a high outlet velocity out of the mouth of a plasma torch.
