    Abstract: An inventive scroll compressor has its motor protector circuit mounted on the compressor pump unit. In this way, increased temperature from reverse rotation of the orbiting scroll causes the motor protector unit to quickly stop operation of the motor. Preferably, the motor protector unit is mounted on the non-orbiting scroll.
