  • Publication number: 20170256957
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for a hybrid power delivery system with improved energy storage system power control. The hybrid power delivery system may comprise a generator coupled to a variable frequency drive, in which a first power converter converts a first AC power from the generator to a DC power at the DC bus coupled to the first power converter. The DC bus is coupled to a second power converter, which converts the DC power to a second AC power. Also coupled to the DC bus is a power controller, which is also coupled to an energy storage system. The power controller is configured to regulate power flow between the energy storage system and the DC bus. The power controller may comprise at least one of a switch, a chopper circuit, a contactor, a silicon controlled rectifier, and/or a DC-to-DC converter.

  • Patent number: 8023251
Abstract: A hybrid energy storage device includes at least one cell comprising at least one positive electrode, at least one negative electrode, a separator placed between said at least one positive and said at least one negative electrode, and an electrolyte. The at least one positive electrode comprises an active material comprising lead and a tab extending from a side of the at least one positive electrode. The at least one negative electrode comprises an activated carbon material, a tab extending from a side of the at least one negative electrode, and a lead lug encapsulating said tab. A first cast-on lead strap is on the tab extending from said at least one positive electrode. A second cast-on lead strap is on the lead lug of the at least one negative electrode.

  • Publication number: 20060238307
Abstract: An inventory control system and method that tracks inventories of items with RFID tags, includes a reader unit and an intelligent station that tracks RFID tags to determine item information of items to be inventoried. The reader unit transmits and receives RF signals. The intelligent station includes a first RF antenna connected to the reader unit by a first transmission cable through a first switch, and one or more additional RF antennae connected to the reader unit by the same first transmission cable through additional switches. An inventory control processing unit receives item information from the intelligent stations to update inventory information regarding the items to be inventoried.
