  • Patent number: 11172946
Abstract: In embodiments of an obstruction removal device, system, and/or method, a removal tool and an expandable member are configured to be disposed at a distal end of a delivery tool. The removal tool may include peeler wires and hook wires that are configured to at least partially separate an obstruction from an inner surface of a vasculature. The expandable member is configured to at least partially surround the removal tool and is further configured to grasp at least one portion of the removal tool and the obstruction as the expandable member transitions from an expanded state to a contracted state when the delivery tool is removed from the vasculature to remove the removal tool and the obstruction from the vasculature.

  • Publication number: 20210077283
Abstract: An implantable frame comprises a plurality of corner structures configured to decrease pressure to the vessel wall and define pulsatility enhancing windows of the implantable frame. The corner structures may comprise plurality of neighboring longitudinal struts that extend in a longitudinal direction of the blood vessel when placed to form the vessel wall to a substantially polygonal cross-section and distribute pressure loading of the corner structure among the plurality of neighboring longitudinal struts to improve biocompatibility. The corner structures also allow increased forming of the vessel wall and can provide stretching of the vessel wall to enhance pulsatility of the vessel wall.

  • Patent number: 6066216
Abstract: An energy director structure with an auxiliary weld depth limitation feature is provided. The energy director is located on a first contact shelf. A second contact shelf that is shorter, broader, forming a mesa is positioned laterally adjacent to, and below, the first contact shelf. The second contact shelf forms a mesa that limits the depth of the ultrasonic welding. Limiting the time, pressure, or temperature of the welding process additionally ensures the weld depth is limited to the height of the second contact shelf or mesa. Two plastic pieces, one of which includes an energy director and mesa structure, may be welded together to form a capillary having precise volumetric accuracy.
