  • Patent number: 11931697
Abstract: A process for separating hydrogen from a gas mixture having hydrogen and a larger gas molecule is comprised of flowing the gas mixture through a carbonized polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) copolymer membrane having a hydrogen permeance in combination with a hydrogen/methane selectivity, wherein the combination of hydrogen permeance and hydrogen/methane selectivity is (i) at least 30 GPU hydrogen permeance and at least 200 hydrogen/methane selectivity or (ii) at least 10 GPU hydrogen permeance and at least 700 hydrogen/methane selectivity. The carbonized PVDC copolymer may be made by heating and restraining a polyvinylidene chloride copolymer film or hollow fiber having a thickness of 1 micrometer to 250 micrometers to a pretreatment temperature of 100° C. to 180° C. to form a pretreated polyvinylidene chloride copolymer film and then heating and restraining the pretreated polyvinylidene chloride copolymer film to a maximum pyrolysis temperature from 350° C. to 750° C.

  • Publication number: 20240087316
Abstract: A location in a video may be specified and content related to the location may be accessed. A method for accessing the related content may include receiving a reference to a pixel location in a frame of a video feed of a filmed occurrence and accessing a spatio-temporal index corresponding to the filmed occurrence. The spatio-temporal index may index information relating to events or objects of the filmed occurrence and corresponding pixel locations at which the events or the objects are detected in the video feed. The method may further include querying the spatio-temporal index using the pixel location to determine particular information of an indexed event or an indexed object and receiving the particular information wherein the particular information indicates at least one of spatial and temporal alignment parameters for aligning the indexed event with a corresponding event in at least one other video feed of the filmed occurrence.

  • Patent number: 11452926
Abstract: Methods are disclosed in which the user defines three or more categories of plays that an American football opponent may run and multiple regression techniques are used to estimate the probability that the opponent will run a play in each such category, under particular game conditions, based on data collected from the opponent's past games. The regression coefficients and game condition data are entered into a computer device, which calculates the predicted probabilities and sorts and displays the categories of plays according to such probabilities. The user may assign ratings or rankings to schemes that the user may execute, based on the expected effectiveness of each such scheme against each category of plays that the opponent may run, and such ratings or rankings may be combined with the predicted probabilities to recommend schemes to the user under various game conditions. If permitted by the rules, such predictions or recommendations may be used to assist the user in play calling during a game.

  • Publication number: 20180211010
Abstract: A method of building a machine learning pipeline for predicting refractoriness of epilepsy patients is provided. The method includes providing electronic health records data; constructing a patient cohort from the electronic health records data by selecting patients based on failure of at least one anti-epilepsy drug; constructing a set features found in or derived from the electronic health records data; electronically processing the patient cohort to identify a subset of the features that are predictive for refractoriness for inclusion in a predictive model configured for classifying patients as refractory or non-refractory; and training the predictive computerized model to classify the patients having at least one anti-epilepsy drug failure based on likelihood of becoming refractory.

  • Patent number: 6038146
Abstract: An AC-to-DC power converter (power supply) with high power factors and which minimizes the input charging current flowing through the separate inductor by locating the separate inductor between a full-bridge rectifier and the transformer but out of the storage capacitor's current path. In this manner, when the input voltage is sufficiently high, the converter draws input current into the transformer through the separate inductor, while current flowing to and charging the storage capacitor is unimpeded by the separate inductor. The current being drawn through the separate inductor and into the transformer may also be used to recharge the storage capacitor. Associated losses are reduced and the separate inductor may be reduced in size.
