Patent number: 11756117Abstract: Techniques for certifying a document and for securely transmitting access to the document across a blockchain network are disclosed. A document, which details results of a soft inquiry executed against a user's credit history, is accessed. A hash algorithm is applied to the document to certify it. The hash algorithm is based on a timestamp indicating when the document was created. Applying the hash algorithm also generates a portable identifier reflecting the document is certified at the time indicated by the timestamp. The portable identifier is added as a record to a blockchain. The record is transmitted to a second computer system using public and private keys.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2021Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: PROGREXION IP, INC.Inventors: Justin Randall Padawer, Taylor Cushman Rose, Michael Angelo DeVico, Richard Edward Horne

Patent number: 11657981Abstract: A process that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing a first silicon dioxide layer on the silicon substrate, depositing a modifier layer on the first silicon dioxide layer, depositing a second silicon dioxide layer on the modifier layer to form a multilayer initial oxide and annealing the multilayer initial oxide resulting in an annealed multilayer initial oxide. The annealing causes diffusion of modifier species from the modifier layer into the first and second silicon dioxide layers and results in amorphous polysilicates. The first and second silicon dioxide layers have thicknesses that prevent the diffusion of the modifier species from reaching top and bottom interfaces of the annealed multilayer initial oxide. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2020Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignee: NXP USA, Inc.Inventors: Marina Zelner, Andrew Vladimir Claude Cervin, Edward Horne

Publication number: 20230021423Abstract: Techniques for assessing a computing risk of an entity based on a social media footprint of that user. Social media accounts of an entity are identified. Queries are executed against the accounts to determine a social media footprint the entity has based on engagements with those accounts. The footprint reflects at least how much information associated with the entity has been exposed as a result of the engagements with those accounts. Based on the footprint, a risk score for the entity is developed. The risk score reflects a determined amount of computing risk the entity has with regard to potential malicious use of exposed entity information. Based on the risk score, mitigation operations are performed in an attempt to reduce the risk score.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2021Publication date: January 26, 2023Inventors: Michael Angelo DeVico, Matthew Joseph DeVico, Justin Randall Padawer, Taylor Cushman Rose, Richard Edward Horne, Ian James Bell

Patent number: 5909333Abstract: A non-invasive servo-write system for use in a data recording disk drive. The system measures actuator position and generates a reference clock using semiconductor lasers. Internal position references are provided by reflective diffraction gratings affixed to the actuator arm and the spindle hub. Wavefront reconstruction optics correct for aberrations in the gratings. Optical sensors detect differential changes in the diffraction patterns created by the gratings, eliminating sensitivity to frequency drift. Decode electronics convert optical sensor data into an actuator position measurement. Control electronics drive the voice coil motor within the disk drive, which positions the write transducer to record servo information provided in a servo pattern generator. Transparent windows in the head-disk-assembly cover allow the servo-writer to write drives which are completely assembled and sealed.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1997Date of Patent: June 1, 1999Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: John Stewart Best, Wen-Wei Chiang, Steven Robert Hetzler, Donald Edward Horne, Chih-Kung Lee, Vincent Marrello
