    Abstract: A decorative wall panel is described which includes a reinforced base layer and a patterned top layer. The top layer comprises Portland cement, sand, and pigmented binder. The top layer is slow-cured and exhibits compressive strength of at least 1500 p.s.i. and high temperature color fastness. The top layer is firmly bonded to the base layer. The decorative panel can be made very thin and is self-supporting. It may be adhered to any desired wall substrate, for example, with adhesive, nails, screws, or other mechanical fasteners.
