Abstract: A luggage piece and a method for packing and transporting the same are provided. A first compartment has an interior for carrying first items. A second compartment is provided for carrying second items. The second items are distinguishable from the first items in that the second compartment includes a hanging device for hanging articles from the hanging device. The second compartment, therefore, acts as a garment carrier and the first compartment acts as a standard luggage compartment. The first compartment and the second compartment are integrally formed as a single luggage piece for simple packing and unpacking of articles as well as simplified transport of the luggage piece following packing of the articles. An extendable arm having a handle and wheels is provided for transport of the luggage piece.

Abstract: Luggage, such as hand carried briefcases, purses or the like, are provided with key ring holders on an inner face thereof, preferably a cover. The holder is in the form of a short horizontal or longitudinal strap secured at its midsection to the face just above an open top of a conventional pocket or envelope mounted on the inner face. The strap has wings or legs projecting from its secured mid portion. The end of each wing or leg has a pad of a hook and loop ("Velcro") fastener secured on its inner side. A complimentary hook and loop pad is secured to the opposing inner face of the cover at a location to secure the outer ends of the wings or legs in an extended flat condition against the cover. The two wings or legs are pulled free of the cover carried pads, and are brought together on opposite sides of their secured mid portion.

Abstract: An improved tube shape duffle-type travel or sports bag features an oblong, softsided, expansible central compartment having access through the top thereof, and smaller end compartments on each on the opposing ends of the oblong central compartment. The opposing compartments have circumferential slide fastener openings therearound and has an expansible wall constructed in connection and cooperation with one end wall of the main central compartment providing a collapsible pocket, preferably made of waterproof material, which is capable of extending into the main and end compartments and expanding therein as desired, preferably for positioning soiled or wet clothing or assessories therein. The central compartment further includes opposed tubular expansion panels positioned between the ends of the central sidewall panel and the respective end panels of that compartment.

Abstract: A garment carrier of the type including a generally rectangular outer panel and a like sized generally rectangular inner panel joined along their respective peripheries to the opposed sides of an elongate side panel extending around the peripheries of the outside and inside panels, with the garment carrier being foldable along a mid portion spine extending transversely of the outside panel. User carrying means including handles and/straps are fixable to the spine in a manner known in the art. The outside panel of the garment carrier includes a plurality of pockets positioned thereon with each pocket including an opening associated therewith, and a means for selectively closing said opening mounted adjacent each opening.

Abstract: A sports duffle bag has a canvas, plastic, or leather, top opening tubular body, with a sidewall open top pocket closed by a slide fastener, and sized to snugly receive the head of a tennis racket. An opening at a top corner of the pocket permits the racket handle to project from the pocket. An expansion panel is secured in the mouth of the pocket and has two flaps connected by a slide fastener so that in the open position the flaps hang in the pocket alongside the head of the racket and in the closed position the flaps are pulled above the pocket and closed over a racket head extending above the pocket thus increasing the height of the pocket for accommodating oversized rackets.

Abstract: An improved tube shape duffel-type travel or sports bag is disclosed which features an oblong softsided central compartment having access through the top thereof, and a pair of matching smaller compartments, one each on the opposing ends of the oblong central compartment. The opposing compartments have circumferential zippered openings therearound. In the improvement of the invention one of the end compartments includes a plurality of pockets/dividers therein for selective positioning of user materials in each as desired. The opposing smaller compartment on the opposite end of the bag includes therein an expansible wall constructed in connection and cooperation with one end wall of the main central compartment. The expansible wall includes a collapsible pocket, preferably made of waterproof material, which is capable of extending into the main compartment and expanding therein as desired, preferably for positioning worn clothing or accessories therein.

Abstract: A combination attache case and traveling desk includes a working desk top compartment which is formed immediately subjacent the largest wall of a case lid and is separate and distinct from the large central storage compartment forming the remainder of the attache case. The attache case includes hingedly connected box-like hollow base and lid members. In the improvement of the invention, when the case is in horizontal upright position, the upper or lid member includes a substantially flat horizontal wall defining the boundry between the major inner attache case compartment and the desk top compartment which is positioned subjacent the top peripheral edge of the lid. A substantially flat desk top compartment cover is hingedly retained on the rear of the lid and is sized to close flush with the upper peripheral border of the lid. The horizontal wall, peripheral border, and cover define a shallow compartment in which a writing paper tablet, documents and other writing or reading paraphernalia may be stored.

Abstract: A leafed holder for writing pad, papers and accessories includes a pair of like-sized covers retained together by an elongate hinge or spine connecting adjacent side edges thereof and a leafed member hingedly positioned between the covers and retained adjacent the spine, and having a substantially rigid planar surface on one side thereof adapted for use as a writing or organizing surface. A second surface of the leafed member opposite the writing surface includes document storage pockets thereon, and the leafed member is selectably closably retainable with one of the covers in a manner to keep documents retained therebetween.

Abstract: A soft-sided carrying case or travel bag having individual business document and paraphenalia storage compartments, an umbrella storage retainer, and a compartment suitable for storing clothes is combinable with an improved garment bag which may be folded in half and retained in that position by a neck and collar configuration on the top of the bag. A strap structure on the garment bag is selectably attachable to the travel bag carrying handle, thus avoiding the need for any specialized hooks, rings, slips, buckles or the like on the carrying case.

Abstract: Improvements in a handbag or the like are disclosed which include an additional umbrella compartment adjacent the bottom of the bag being accessible through an opening in the bottom surface of the bag. The additional, out-of-the-way compartment is formed inside the handbag in soft-sided fashion, i.e., without the need for a rigid tubular compartment being added to the bag. Access to the compartment is obtained through a selectively closable opening positioned longitudinally along the bottom surface of the handbag. The opening may further extend partly up one or more of the end surfaces of the bag.
