  • Patent number: 5621614
Abstract: The apparatus of the present invention comprises a housing defining a closed interior volume of a size sufficient to accommodate the appliance, a first heat sink located within the housing, a second heat sink located outside the housing, a reversible heat pump disposed between and in heat conductive engagement with each of the first and second heat sinks, a temperature sensor located within the housing, and electronic circuitry to actuate the heat pump in either of a first cooling mode or a second heating mode in response to predetermined temperature set points sensed by the temperature sensor within the housing. The apparatus also includes an appliance support tray and a holding bracket that engages and maintains the tray in spaced relation within the housing. A pressure equalizing diaphragm is also employed to accommodate pressure changes within the housing.

  • Patent number: 5522576
Abstract: An appliance mounting device which has an arm made from a pipe that has an attached stop and a first retainer opposingly located from a second retainer. The retainers are mountable to a surface and the device is assembled by inserting the arm through an aperture in the first retainer and positioned so that the arm and stop can be lowered until the stop is locked into place by the second retainer.

  • Patent number: 5310152
Abstract: The invention disclosed is a television mounting frame with a removable lifting assembly for facilitating the installation of heavy equipment, particularly large televisions. A television or the like is affixed to a lower frame yolk. An upper frame yolk, which complimentarily engages with the lower yolk to form a complete frame, is mounted to an overhead structure via a hanger pipe attached to a mounting bracket. A lifting assembly is removably affixed to the hanger pipe and disposed so that the winch cable may unwind from the winch and through the hanger pipe for attachment to the television mounted on the lower frame yolk. Once attached to the cable, the television may be lifted into engagement with the upper frame yolk without the use of large and cumbersome scaffolding systems or many assistants. The winch assembly may then be removed for use in the installation of other equipment to different mounting brackets.

Abstract: A removable winch assembly for facilitating the installation of heavy equipment, particularly large television systems. A television or the like is affixed to a lower frame yolk. An upper frame yolk, which complimentarily engages with the lower yolk to form a complete frame, is mounted to a ceiling via a hanger pipe attached to a mounting bracket. A winch assembly of the invention is removably affixed to the hanger pipe and disposed so that the winch cable may unwind from the winch and through the hanger for attachment to the television mounted on the lower frame yolk. Once attached to the cable, the television may be lifted into engagement with the upper frame yolk without the use of large and cumbersome scaffolding systems or many assistants. • Patent number: 4973023
Abstract: A low profile security device for television remote controls, televisions, and other appliances has a lower housing that encloses a leaf spring. The control module is held by an upper housing with a stud on the bottom. The stud can be locked in an opening in the lower housing by the leaf spring. A key-like member can be inserted through a hole in the side of the lower housing and a similar hole in a tab inside the lower housing. Rotation of the key-like member depresses the leaf spring, permitting the release of the stud. Another embodiment of the release mechanism uses a rod with a tapered or pointed tip that permits the rod to pass through the side hole and over the leaft spring.
