    Abstract: Disclosed herein are catheters having multiple coil layers, and associated systems and methods. In some embodiments, a catheter includes an inner liner, a plurality of wires over the inner liner, and an outer sheath over the wires. The wires are coiled about a longitudinal axis of the catheter in a first direction to form a first coil layer over the inner liner, and the wires are coiled about the longitudinal axis in a second direction, opposite the first direction, over the first coil layer to form a second coil layer over the first coil layer. The wires each include a continuous/self-terminating end portion wherein the wire switches from the first direction to the second direction and transitions from the inner coil layer to the outer coil layer.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, engaging an interventional device of a catheter system with clot material in a blood vessel and withdrawing the interventional device and the portion of the clot material through a guide catheter. In some embodiments, the catheter system can include an attachment/valve member coupled to a proximal portion of the guide catheter, and the method can include unsealing the attachment/valve member to facilitate withdrawing the interventional device through the attachment/valve member without significant retention of clot material within the attachment/valve member. The method can further include resealing and aspirating the guide catheter before advancing another interventional device to the clot material to again engage and remove clot material from the blood vessel.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are dilators for vascular access systems, and associated devices and methods. In some embodiments, a dilator includes an elongate body having a diameter that is generally constant or uniform along the length of the body. The diameter can be sized to correspond with a catheter of a vascular access system, such that the dilator can be positioned within the catheter with little or no gaps or spacing between the dilator and an interior of the catheter. Additionally, or alternatively, the body of the dilator can include multiple body regions, each having one or more respective mechanical properties. In these and other embodiments, the dilator can be configured to interface with at least a portion of the vascular access system. For example, the dilator can include one or more notches configured to couple the dilator to the vascular access system via a valve of the vascular access system.

The filtering syringe can be coupled to a catheter subsystem insertable within a patient. The filtering syringe can aspirate material (e.g., clot material, blood, etc.) from a patient via the catheter subsystem. The filtering syringe can include a plunger assembly, and the plunger assembly can include one or more filters. Each of the filters can be configured to (i) allow at least a first portion of aspirated material (e.g., blood) to pass through at least one of the filters, and (ii) prevent at least a second portion of the aspirated material (e.g., clot material) from passing through at least one of the filters. In some embodiments, the filtering syringe is fluidly coupled to a filtered material subsystem that can fluidly couple the filtering syringe to the patient or another suitable fluid outflow location.

In some embodiments, an aspiration catheter can include a proximal terminus, a distal terminus, and an inner surface defining a lumen. The inner surface includes at least one groove formed therein and that extends from the distal terminus at least partially toward the proximal terminus. When clot material is aspirated through the aspiration catheter, the at least one groove can provide a leak path past the clot material to improve the ingestion of the clot material through the catheter and inhibit clogging.

    Abstract: Automatically-locking syringes are disclosed herein. A syringe in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include (i) a barrel, (ii) a plunger slidably positioned within the barrel, and (iii) a lock plate coupled to the barrel. The plunger also extends through an opening in the lock plate, and a biasing member is configured to bias the lock plate to a locking position. When the plunger is moved from a depressed position to a withdrawn position, the lock feature engages the lock plate to drive the lock plate away from the locking position to thereby permit the lock feature to pass through the opening in the lock plate. After the lock feature passes through the opening, the biasing member drives the lock plate to the locking position to inhibit movement of the plunger from the withdrawn position to the depressed position.

In the first position, the outer shaft is positioned at least partially over the funnel to constrain the funnel in a compressed state. In the second position, the outer shaft is retracted proximally relative to the funnel such that the funnel can expand to an expanded state.
