  • Publication number: 20080112728
Abstract: An improved method for producing a metallic core for use in the production of a blanket cylinder or an image cylinder sleeve for use in electophotographic processes. The sleeves includes aluminum or other suitable metal, which is rendered more suitable for use as a sleeve surface by oxidation.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 16, 2008
    Publication date: May 15, 2008
Inventors: Steven Cormier, Thomas Tombs, Edward Miskinis
  • Publication number: 20060037441

  • Publication number: 20050266330
Abstract: This invention relates to electrophotographic elements containing a layer formed from coating compositions containing a mixture of polymeric binders, including a polyvinyl butyral and a polyester ionomer and a crystalline mixture of unsubstituted titanyl phthalocyanine pigment, titanyl phthalocyanine pigments or mixtures thereof dispersed in the mixture. More particularly the invention relates to electrophotographic elements containing photoconductive layers which are especially useful for forming a photoconductive layer that is very uniform and highly absorptive at relatively thin coverage with good inter layer adhesion. The electrophotographic elements produced using this coating composition are particularly suited for high quality applications such as providing copy images with very low grain.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 28, 2004
    Publication date: December 1, 2005

  • Publication number: 20050244731
Abstract: A method for producing a substrate for a photoconductive drum includes etching the substrate with a self-limiting acid that removes the metal oxides from but does not affect the surface roughness of the substrate inner and outer surface.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 30, 2004
    Publication date: November 3, 2005
    Inventors: Edward Miskinis, Steven Cormier
  • Publication number: 20050244730
Abstract: A photoconductive member for use in an electrophotographic machine includes a substrate having an inside and outside surface. An inner smoothing layer is disposed over the inside surface of the substrate thereby improving the compatibility of the photoconductive member with an air-mounting process by which the photoconductive member is operably associated with a mandrel.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 30, 2004
    Publication date: November 3, 2005
    Inventors: Edward Miskinis, Steven Cormier
  • Publication number: 20050137071
Abstract: This invention relates to a plastic sleeve and a method for producing the plastic sleeve for use with an image cylinder in an electrophotographic process.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 21, 2004
    Publication date: June 23, 2005
