Abstract: A gas turbine engine including a core having a compressor section fluidly connected to a combustor via a primary flowpath and a turbine section connected to the combustor via the core flow path. An assembly is disposed within the gas turbine engine and includes a first part connected to a second part via a radial stack joint. The first part includes a radially inward facing surface contacting a corresponding radially outward facing surface of the second part. A fastener protrudes through the first part and the second part and is configured to maintain the relative positions of the first part and the second part. A channel is disposed on at least one of the radially inward facing surfaces and is positioned between the fastener and a circumferential edge of the first part. The channel is connected to at least one cooling air source.

Abstract: French doors that include a passive door and an active door are kept closed by a plate on a trim over a French door jamb having a flange at one of the sides. Holes in the plate allow it to be screwed into the trim. The flange retains the passive French door in place, but the screw in the hole over the active door can be removed to allow the plate to pivot about the remaining screw so the plate can be bent upward to allow the passive door to open under the flange.

Abstract: A door jamb reinforcing system comprising a first reinforcing member, wherein the first reinforcing member comprises a plurality of first screw receiving openings for receiving mounting screws, a latch bolt receiving aperture, and at least one deadbolt latch bolt receiving aperture; a strike plate; and a second reinforcing member, wherein the second reinforcing member has a substantially L-shaped cross section and comprises a plurality of corresponding second screw receiving openings for receiving mounting screws, a strike plate receiving aperture, and at least one deadbolt latch bolt receiving aperture, wherein the deadbolt latch bolt receiving aperture is formed to correspond to the deadbolt latch bolt receiving aperture; wherein when the first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member are attachable to a door frame in overlying contacting abutting relation with each other and with the door jamb with mounting screws.

Abstract: An apparatus for reinforcing a door jamb of the type having an inner bolt receiving face and a perpendicular outer face normally covered by a decorative molding. The apparatus comprises a first flat elongate metal plate adapted to be mounted flush with a portion of the inner bolt receiving face of a door jamb and including a hole defining a bolt receiving opening and a plurality of spaced apart openings adapted to receive mounting screws. A second elongate metal plate having an L-shaped cross-section and including a first side adapted to overlie the first metal plate and a second side including a second bolt receiving opening and a second plurality of spaced apart holes defining second mounting screw openings adapted to receive mounting screws. The second elongate metal plate is slidably inserted beneath a portion of the decorative molding and to lie in contacting abutting relation with a portion of the outer face of the door jamb.
