Patent number: 9635487Abstract: Apparatus and methods for provisioning wireless devices for operation in one or more networks. In one embodiment, a provisioning service may provide access client (e.g., Subscriber Identity Module) data to a secure element in the wireless user device. The device may be preloaded with a provisioning SIM profile. The device may use the provisioning profile to roam onto a carrier, and communicate with a provisioning service, which may present the user with a list of available wireless carriers, such as carriers that service the user's current geographic location. In response to a user selection, the provisioning service may load a SIM profile associated with the selected carrier onto the secure element. The loaded SIM profile can be used to obtain wireless service from the selected carrier. The user may add multiple SIM profiles, and/or may delete SIM profiles.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2015Date of Patent: April 25, 2017Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Clive Edward Rodgers, Stephan V. Schell, Achim Pantfoerder, Mohit Narang

Patent number: 6659651Abstract: A differential allowing relatively easy alignment and secure positioning of bearings is provided. The differential includes a differential carrier and a differential case disposed within the carrier. A bearing assembly is located between the differential carrier and the differential case and allows the differential case to rotate within the differential carrier. The differential carrier and a cup of the bearing assembly having mating threads allowing relatively easy alignment of the bearing assembly within the differential. A deformable member is attached to the bearing assembly cup and is deformed and inserted into a slot in the differential carrier upon alignment of the bearing assembly to securely position the bearing assembly.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2002Date of Patent: December 9, 2003Assignee: Dana CorporationInventors: Gary A. Patent number: 6493650Abstract: Crash scene measurement, documentation, and analysis is used to determine crash dynamics and causes in order to determine fault, liability, and prevention methods. The device to be patented is a low cost, compact system that significantly enhances the speed and accuracy of crash scene documentation, and it is applicable to aviation, highway, railway, and vessel crashes. The system will use highly accurate, kinematic, Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) measurements to locate crash scene elements and reference points with a relative measurement error of less than two centimeters (0.79 in.). Using a government DGPS reference signal (National DGPS, US Coast Guard) or locating the reference module on a geodetic marker, allows the absolute location of the scene to be determined with an error of between three to five meters. Once the scene is measured, the device automatically develops accurate dimensions, scene drawing, and a standard report of the crash.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2000Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Assignee: Optimus CorporationInventors: Charles Edward Rodgers, Darrell Froncis Greenlee

Patent number: 6355113Abstract: A non-aqueous cleaning process uses an organic solvent for removing soil or surface contamination from contaminated articles such as printed circuit boards which are cleaned by immersion into a sump compartment of a cleaning tank containing the organic cleaning solvent. The organic solvent is preferably a hydrocarbon solvent. The cleaned articles, now coated with the organic cleaning solvent, are then disposed in a rinsing sump containing a fluorocarbon based rinsing solvent having an affinity for the organic cleaning solvent. The organic solvent is thus removed from the articles which are then dried without waste water as in a conventional solvent vapor degreasing solvent process.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1998Date of Patent: March 12, 2002Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties CompanyInventors: David Nalewajek, Rajat Subhra Basu, David Paul Wilson, Michael Van Der Puy, Ellen Louise Swan, Peter Brian Logsdon, Gary J. Patent number: 3934475Abstract: A capacitance type material level detector for a hopper for particulate solid materials has a support that extends through an opening in a hopper sidewall to carry a detector unit for which it provides a hood. An electrically conductive sensor member of the detector unit is protected from contact with material in the hopper by a dielectric shield, and is sealed in a chamber defined by the shield and a mounting plate. A manually slidable and rotatable paddle hangs alongside the shield where it may be swung in front of the shield to check operativeness of the detector unit; and by moving the paddle rearwardly it may be used to break accumulated material off the face of the shield.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1974Date of Patent: January 27, 1976Assignee: United Conveyor CorporationInventors: Earl Edward Rodgers, Gerald Allen Mellinger
