Abstract: A dart pistol utilizes an assembly of a pistol body, a launch channel, a carriage, a mainspring, an operating bar, an engagement feature, a trigger member, and a retainer pin to adapt a conventional game of throwing darts into a shooting sport. The launch channel is formed into the pistol body such that the carriage, mainspring, and operating bar are slidably mounted between a fore body end and a rear body end. The mainspring is connected between the carriage and the fore body end to impart a launching force to at least one projectile via the carriage. The retainer pin is laterally mounted into the channel to capture the engagement feature of the operating bar until dislodged by the trigger member. The trigger member is pivotably mounted to the pistol body, operatively coupling the trigger member to the operating bar to fire the dart pistol.

Abstract: Techniques for operating a configure, price, quote (CPQ) platform are provided. The techniques include obtaining a set of component configurations for a set of components in the CPQ platform and a system definition for a system in the CPQ platform. The component configurations include a set of component attributes for the components and a first set of attribute values for the component attributes. The system definition includes a system attribute of the system, the components, and a set of rules to be applied to the component attributes and the system attribute. Next, the rules are applied to the first set of attribute values to produce a second set of attribute values for the system attribute and the component attributes. A system configuration for the system is then outputted, wherein the first system configuration includes the second set of attribute values.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for duplicating a shear rate of a fluid in a process system and for sensing one or more properties at that shear rate. In some embodiments the process system is a blending system for frack water. In some embodiments, the systems comprise two spools: one spool containing a pH sensor and an oxidation reduction potential sensor whereby a controller senses the corresponding properties of the water therein. And whereby, if her sensed property is outside of a corresponding user selected range, the controller closes a valve to isolate the system from the process. Note that that systems of embodiments further comprise flow control valves to set a flowrate in the system to a value consistent with match a share rate in a process system with which the system might be in fluid communication.

Abstract: Various aspects of a system and method for user authentication are disclosed herein. An audio input is received from one of a plurality of computing devices associated with a user. The user identification data associated with the user based on said received audio input is determined. An association of the user with one or more other users in a social network is determined based on comparison of the determined user identification data with pre-stored user identification data. The user is authenticated to participate in an event in association with the one or more other users based on the comparison.

The one or more processors may determine, in run-time, a first set of pixel sensors of one or more image sensors that capture a first video content when the device is in a first orientation relative to a reference orientation. The one or more processors may determine a change in orientation of the device from the first orientation to a second orientation relative to the reference orientation. The second orientation is different from the first orientation. The one or more processors may determine, in run-time, a second set of pixel sensors of the one or more image sensors that capture a second video content when the device is in the second orientation. An orientation of the captured second video content is same as an orientation of the captured first video content.

The protective sheath includes first and second elongated substrates connected to one another about at least one living hinge. The first and second elongated substrates are moveable relative to one another between an open configuration wherein the first and second substrates are positioned substantially side by side adjacent to one another and a closed configuration wherein the first and second substrates at least partially overlying one another. The protective sheath also includes a first flap attached to the first substrate along an edge. The first flap is resiliently biased into a position overlying the first substrate and operable to engage the second substrate when the first and second substrates are in the closed configuration.

Abstract: Chemiluminescent devices are attached to water bottles or similar drinkwear containers by a variety of holders to decoratively illuminate the contents of the container. A thin elongated chemiluminescent charge container is wound within the holder and supported there so that substantially the entire periphery of the drinkwear container is illuminated. The holders are reusable and useful with a variety of conventional drinkwear articles.
