A first set of multimedia data is transmitted to the user device that corresponds to a first subclip of the on-demand content. When a predetermined condition corresponding to the DCIO is satisfied, a second set of multimedia data is transmitted to the user device that includes multimedia data corresponding to at least the multiple subclips.

In one embodiment, the contiguous digital media storage system comprises a storage server, mass storage device, allocator subsystem, and metadata subsystem. Other embodiments may include additional storage servers or mass storage devices as well as one or more client devices. The system and method may be used with third party file systems. Generally, sequentially sensitive information is identified and stored contiguously based on its position within a sequence which substantially increases throughput. This position may be determined from information provided by client devices, file characteristics, or other ways. The system and method may store uniform and variable sized files contiguously.

Subsequently, the speech data can be compared to pre-determined speech cache entry criteria; and, if the speech data meets one of the pre-determined entry criteria, at least one entry can be added to the speech cache, the at least one entry corresponding to the speech data. Additionally, the speech data can be compared to pre-determined speech cache exit criteria; and, if the speech data meets one of the pre-determined exit criteria, at least one entry can be purged from the speech cache, the at least one entry corresponding to the speech data. The entry criteria can include frequently used speech data, recently used speech data, and important speech data.

A curved shield extends at a rearward angle up from a top surface of the curved peeling, so as to protect a nail of a thumb of the first hand grasping the handle when pushing forward to peel the skin off of the green banana and plantain held in a second hand of the person.
