  • Patent number: 11749977
Abstract: A device is used to sever an electrical power cable for the transmission of high voltage. The device includes a frame having first movable cutting blade carried thereon and second stationary cutting blades carried thereon. The blades can sever the electrical power cable upon movement of the first cutting blade relative to the frame. A sensor is provided and is configured to register a position of the first cutting blade relative to the frame. An evaluation and/or transmission controller is configured to receive information from the sensor and interrupt severing of the electrical power cable by the blades in response to the information.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10280946
Abstract: An adapter is used to mount the cylinder to a fluid channel. The adapter is formed of a unitary wall including a first portion adapted to mount to the fluid channel, a second portion adapted to be engaged with a tool extending from the first portion, and a third portion extending from the second portion and seated within an inlet passageway of the cylinder. The third portion includes locking features for locking the adapter to the cylinder, and a sealing feature for sealing the adapter to the cylinder. The sealing feature is distal to the second portion such that when a torque is applied to the adapter, the sealing feature does not cause the adapter to shear. The cylinder and fluid channel may be capable of being swiveled relative to each other around the adapter, such swiveling may be up to 360 degrees and may be 360 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20180006437
Abstract: A device is used to sever an electrical power cable for the transmission of high voltage. The cable has an insulation sheath, a screening layer and a conductive layer. The device includes a first frame having a first cutting blade mounted thereon, a second frame, and a measuring device mounted on the second frame. The first cutting blade is movable relative to the measuring device. The measuring device is capable of measuring an electrical load on the electrical power cable and capable of terminating the severing of the electrical power cable. A method of using the device is also provided.
