  • Patent number: 5141423
Abstract: A compressor having a cylinder and a cylindrical rotational body housed within the cylinder. A spiral groove is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the rotational body, and a spiral blade is fitted in the groove so as to be freely retreated in and projected from the groove in the radial direction of the rotational body. The cylinder and the rotational body are rotated relative to each other by a drive mechanism. A fluid to be compressed is introduced into working chambers defined by the blade, the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and the outer peripheral surface of the rotational body. The fluid is first guided into the first working chamber from a gas suction port, and then into the second and subsequent working chambers successively, whereby the fluid is compressed. An oil supply mechanism supplies pressurized oil to an oil supply hole formed in the rotational body.

  • Patent number: 5139394
Abstract: A compressor has a cylindrical casing unit having at least one open end. A compression element includes a circular cylinder held in the casing unit, a cylindrical rotating body having at least one spiral groove on its outer periphery and eccentrically arranged in the cylinder, and a spiral blade wrapped on the rotating body and fitted in the spiral groove in a manenr to be freely displaceable relative to the spiral groove. The cylinder and rotating body are journaled in a bearing means. A frame includes a cylindrical section intimately inserted into an open end of the casing unit and a disc section blocking the cylindrical section and provided orthogonal to an axis of the cylindrical section, the frame blocking the open end of the casing unit and supporting the bearing means.

  • Patent number: 5090875
Abstract: A fluid compressor includes a closed case and a cylinder which is arranged in the case and has two opposite ends. A columnar rotating rod is located in the cylinder to be eccentric thereto, and rotatable along with the cylinder. The rod has a spiral groove on the outer circumferential surface thereof, and a spiral blade is fitted in the groove to divide the space between the rod and the cylinder into a plurality of operating chambers. The ends of the cylinder are rotatably supported by first and second bearings. The first bearing is secured to the casing. A drive unit for rotating the cylinder and rod includes a rotor fixed to the cylinder. The rotor has the center of gravity which is apart from the middle of the cylinder in its axial direction toward the first bearing.

  • Patent number: 5090874
Abstract: A fluid compressor includes a cylinder having first and second discharge ends, in which a rotating rod is rotatably arranged. First and second spiral grooves are formed on the outer circumference of the rod, and first and second spiral blades are fitted into the grooves. The first groove has a first starting end located in the middle portion of the rod, and extends from the starting end toward the first discharge end. The second groove has a second starting end located in the middle portion of the rod, and extends from the second starting end toward the second discharge end. The first and second starting ends are set apart from each other by a certain angle in the circumferential direction of the rod. Operating fluid is introduced into the middle portion in the cylinder, and fed to the first and second discharge ends of the cylinder through operating chambers defined by the first and second blades in the cylinder.
